Social proof is EVERYTHING. You really don't need to attract the girls anywhere near as much as you do outside of HS. If you're popular, and can uphold a semi-decent conversation, you'll be fine.
It's incredibly important to get in with her friends. In HS, if her friends don't like you, you have a snowball's chance in hell. However, on the same note, you CAN'T ignore the target. It's better to show interest in the target while entertaining her friends,
I agree with most of what you said, but you can still ignore her, just not as much as in the clubs. Ignoring her still creates that sense of loss which is why it is so powerful.

It sucks because I rarely have time to myself. If I don't set boundaries I get bogged down and girls are asking if they can go running/workout with me(its my me time) and It just gets crazy NEVER being alone.I'm just saying you need to put some time aside for yourself.
