I was in the mall today shopping for clothes and sarging, I had mediocre success and built brief rapport with a couple cashiers in stores... As I was coming back from a store, I ran into an old friend who was with his group. He invited me to join and I accepted. There, in the group I met HB 8. Upon introduction I felt as if this would be an easy sarge. I almost instantaneously saw the obstacle, someone else who already had her interest. I negged quite a bit upon approach and probably slightly too much. I did indeed manage to get IOI's, but was unable to isolate, but felt as if I did I would have found better results. In a store this was proven when I negged her for some comments she made and got an IOI. I did end up acting probably a little too cocky afterward, and the other guy seemed as if he was using it to his advantage. This was around the time I truly crashed and burned, unbeknownst to me at the time. I was afterward brushed off upon any further attempts and decided to go cold afterward. I take full responsibility and see this as a lesson learned. I do realize my mistakes ( not going in for the kill after IOI's were given, too much cockiness, slight neediness). Just was wondering where you think I went wrong or what you what have done yourself. I appreciate the constructive criticism, good or bad. I did manage though to have no trouble with approach anxiety nor problems at the beginning. It was after that I met my demise. This was a crash and burn I accept, as well as a valuable lesson for the future.

It seems you have some book knowledge which is good but dont try to apply every term you read about in the field until you have more in-field experience under your belt. Your much better spending your energy on more approaches then analyzing old ones.
