I made a thread a while back bout this girl I dated at uni, and despite being super tight only a year ago she says she now feels as though she doesn't know me anymore, which i found kinda suspect thing to say, and we no longer talk.

Come to find today that from the day I left the uni, people have been talking all kinds of shit about me to her. That i cheated on her, that i referred to her as a 'friend with benefits', that i didn't give a shit about her, all kinds of lies.

Needless to say I'm pissed. I know it's wrong but I seriously feel like gathering my mates and going down there to crack some heads. I hardly knew these people beyond "hello", and they go and do this shit. I could always tell nobody liked the fact I was with her but cmon. What's worse is she clearly believes everything. This really does explain a lot.

I could kill these people. But I shouldn't. What fuckin now?

This is probably one of the few times going a bit AFC would be benificial. See if you can meet with her and see what the issue is. If you really want to maintain a relationship with this girl, try talking it out.

if so... forget about it. there are so many more girls out there. no need to get yourself in a fight over someone who you used to date. catch my drift?

just take some time to cool down and go after other girls. if the girls knew you enough and trusted you enough, they wouldnt believe these "random" people. just keep your head straight man. no need to go get yourself in trouble

Yeah she's an ex, I realised I wanted her back during summer, when i missed her a whole lot despite being on holiday with friends. So I came back and tried getting in touch, that's when she says she 'didn't know me anymore'.

Now I could handle it if this was of her own accord, but now that I know people have been getting in her ear I can't stand it. She always hated confrontation and was quite indecisive, so come to think of it it's not that surprising that she took their word for it.. but damn I need to set this straight with her without seeming like i'm out of my mind.
