Here's the story just posting because I thought you guys might get a laugh out of it.

I have this girls # known her for a long time, but we hadn't talked for quite a while. The other day I saw that meme that's been going around of the sad looking kitten and above it there's an fb notice that you pm has been read the caption is I'm sorry to bother you with my friendship.

Anyway I send her that pic out of no where and say.
Me: that's how you make me feel.
Her: awwwww why do you say that???
Her: we haven't talked in sOOoooooo long!!!
Me: no kidding!!!
Her: I'm busy this week, but we should deinitely hang out next week!!
Me: cool!! I was just being a smart ass btw
Her: hahahahahahha I know :p

Did you ACTUALLY go out with her yet? Because many old friends do that sometimes. They tell you to hang out with them really soon and they just keep on postponing things later on. If not, then she was attracted to you at some point but you did not notice/make a move back then.

I'm the same. It's like a big filter for me - if the girl gets confused (or takes me seriously!) at my sarcastic/piss take sort of humour then I haven't got time for them. Whereas even a less hot girl who gets it and plays along is instantly a more attractive proposition!

I don't mean to burst your bubble of happiness that you've got right now but this girl probably is not going to hang out with you. She told you "yeah next week" but really, that means never. Learn to pick up on those subtle cues man.

Normally brother I'd agree with you because I've had put offs like this and I've seen it happen to friends, but I took an above poster's advice and locked down a day and time. We're just grabbing a coffee at the mall because we're both gonna be there anyway.
