Everything I've read on PUA's suggests using a "Lock In Prop" when entering a set to "lock in" the HB...My question is this...it seems that everyone is using some type of hat (a very MM type thing it seems like) I was wanting to know if anyone has used any other types of lock in props.

For 1, I haven't found a good hat that I like to wear that would lock in that well. Baseball caps don't really seem that effective since they are so common. And 2, some venues/clubs have dress codes that you can get kicked out of the place if you don't adhere to them.

I have used my Jack Daniels Zippo lighter before but almost lost it (don't ask!) and sort of used my leather jacket/sport blazer.

I'm kind of wanting to purchase a southern dress suit type white felt cowboy hat with a silver buckle on it to stand out in because I don't really find it my style to wear the fedora hats. I'm not really a scarf/boa wearer either. I am able to stand out with out going into outrageous mode (although some argue that this is the whole point of peacocking)

Any other effective lock in props or hat suggestions???

Glow necklaces are decent peacocking items, and cheap lock in props costing about $1 a necklace at your local party store or you can order them online. Great for working stuff at night. A common lock in prop and test is to make her hold your drink.

Cowboy hat is allllllllll win.

On the dance floor, HBs always try to steal it. I have had girls open me just for the cowboy hat where they say i should never take it off. Matched with the cop shades an Affliction tshirt and tight jeans.... Your good to go.
