Hey guys,

I am 37, have a girl I've known for 23 years just invite me to an event just randomly.
Not sure if she is trying to get together or just being polite. What do you guys think?
Background info.

Old friends from when we were teenagers. Hung out in the same circle of friends. From the age of 18/19 didn't see her at all.
She went to high school with my ex wife (we broke up in Oct 2011). Bumped into this girl in Jan 2012. She knew about my ex as we are fbook buddies. She messaged me some support last year too.

I bumped into her and suggested we should catch up and she agreed. She sent me ph no. the next day on facebook. We caught up several times from Feb thru april this year, then she pulled the plug. Said her ex husband and her were gonna try again.
I have kept chatting to her privately, but don't ask about her ex. She did update her fb status to single about 2 months ago, and last week after a quick chat, she sent me an invite to a fundraiser next week.

Here's the thing, I had a MASSIVE kiddy crush on her when I was 15. Just starting out in the game, and don't want to have anything serious right now. Is she interested in me or not? I have decided to go to this event, and gonna try to bring a girl from work. Is this a bad idea?

My opinion is she just needed bodies for the fundraiser event. She's probably got a few orbiters like you floating around, not to burst your bubble. But I'd still try to hit it if I were you. And YES, bring another girl. Your target will be like "who is she?" then you tell her that she is just a fuck buddy, but it's nothing serious. That's what I would do.
