This is not my reality, this is not my reality, this is not my reality. I was just thinking to myself last night as I was strumming my guitar. No this is not a ross jeffries pattern or a new routine. Talk to some people and the may tell you differently but I think a person experiences two realities, an external reality, and an internal reality.

External reality is everything that is not you. For most of us, we have no control over 99.999% of this reality. This comprises the mother nature, other people, jobs, world economics and diplomacy, and all the other unique factors that make up our world. Internal reality is you. It is your perception of the world around you. For most of us, we have control over ourselves 99.999% of the time (alcohol excluded).

But how do we have control over ourselves? Some might think this is an absolutely ridiculous concept, but its true. We control ourselves with thought. Every state of mind, every emotion we experience is the result of a thought. Think about it (no pun intended).

But thought is a double edged sword. It can make you feel great, and drive others to suicide. When was the last time you were on a great date, and you just felt electric? When was the last time you just had a bad break up and felt miserable? These are opposites on an emotional scale but take on a similar process in the manifestation of the emotions and feelings that are associated.

When I was first thinking about all this, I didn't know where I was going with it. But then it came to me...................If you don't think about something, it doesn't exist............... Now lets not be ridiculous. If you refuse to acknowledge President Bush, then he still exists. But if you broke up with your girlfriend, and don't think about her and that nasty break-up, then she never existed. When you start using this powerful state of mind, you can accomplish just about anything.

Just a thought...

Nice post:)

This is also why we shouldn't worry about the outcome with a specific girl. We can do all the things in the world that would want her to be with us but ultimately it is not under our control.

We are sailors sailing in a stormy sea. The more skilled we are the better are our chances of survival. But we cannot control the waves of the wild ocean.

Can't remember where I heard it but I think it hold a lot of truth.

It's great, just as long as you don't use those tools to pretend the world isn't like it is and ignore important things just because you don't want to deal with them. Sometimes forgetting about something can be good for you, but generally getting over something is much more powerful and you grow and become stronger.
