I was out tonight and was completely in a shitty frame of mind and couldn't even work up the courage to open a set. That was until my wing, (he's afc but helps motivate me), said "Man up and stop being a pussy. Remember it's not you approaching its Justright approaching. You have nothing to lose."

Wingmen can be invaluable, because the number one person stopping you from succeeding is YOU. As soon as it sunk in I was making stupid excuses and basically defeating myself I walked straight up and opened this really cute girl (HB7 and I have a ridiculous scale). I ended up opening, getting her to smile, and even got her to throw out some IOI's. As I am fairly new to this, it's all I was looking for and left. This was a turning point for me because all my other approaches i've been in a good frame of mind. Now that I have the confidence to approach even in a less than ideal frame of mind I think I can finally get more comfortable with this.

Next step is number close.

the old AA . . i suffer from this A LOT! . . .i always down play myself but then after i just tell myself "hey i will never see this person again who the fuck cares" and i go for it .. . .has worked for me on opening sets and approaching people but thats it . .i have no mid game
