A female coworker sees a photograph of myself and another female coworker from my birthday party. She comes to me and says "You and Kim look good together"

I've heard this sort of thing before. However, I'm not clear on what it means.

Did Kim say something about me?
Did Kim ask this girl to tell me this?
Did this girl tell me this independently of Kim?

Saying something like this to any person is like locking a mongoose and a snake in a cage together. You're causing an interaction between two parties.

Regardless I just don't know how to respond to "You and Kim look good together". Do i show interest? Tell her to fuck off? Tell her she's wrong?

That's her telling you that you should make a move on Kim. It's most likely independant and she's just trying to be a friend and encourage you to get a girl that she thinks you could get.

My opionion (seen it before)>
I think it's a form of cockblocking. whatever your answer to her she will go to kim and tell her "murdoc says he likes you", "murdoc says he doesn't like you", I have had this TOO MANY times, when other people get involved, it ruins the privacy of what you 2 have or could have. she is shit-stirring.

I don't know what the best thing to do is, but I would probably Ignore her, and change the subject. If she says any more about it, say it's nor the time or the place to be nosing in other peoples private lives.

you see, if you continue the conversation, you are in theory talking about kim behind her back. and whatever you say gets repeated, so destroying the mystery.

You could say "really? do you reckon I should ask her out then?"
