Hey,

I'm going out monday tuesday night with my work team for a xmas drink at the local pub. Theres a girl in the group I'm working on and naturally tuesday I'm going to attempt to get her on her own work A2 + A3 then bounce her for some chinese food to move C1.

I know the people I'm going to be with so unless I go for a delayed entrance and then use that as "oh this is where the party's at" when i spot them in the pub and run an opener I'm a bit lost as to how to work the group. One of the guys that's going to be there will definatley try to cock-block whether he realises it or not, I'll have a look and see if theres some threads on overcoming this but if not any advice on stopping this before he gets started?

Onje thing I do have going for me is that I used to work as a close-up magician before starting this job so I could pull this to my favor and use some light-harted tricks to open up, neg the HB with "wow is she always this demanding" and use that to get her alone... Wow this is tough

Any thoughts just to help me get things straight, my main concern is that because they "know me" I've got to climb above that but by doing something different to what they know me for at work?
