| I was out at a bar/restaurant a few days ago with a singles group I joined. I joined the group back in May. I do admit I hooked up with a few girls in the group, but I'm looking for the next best thing. After reading the MM and The game a few months back, I figured I can use the group as social proof in the field, the group goes to a lot of happy hours at bars and venues around town. Thursday night we had a new member meeting at happy hour. I was talking to a girl I went on a few dates with, when I spotted a HB8 and her fat friend sitting at a table next to the bar. To my luck the fat girl was married and the HB8 wasn't. They were watching the West Virginia Foot ball game that was on that night. I pretended not to notice them and continued to talk to my friend. later, during commercial, I happened to glance above where they were sitting and I noticed a funny sign that was on the wall. It said something along the line of " the first girl I kissed was my sister." I looked at it, and saw them looking at me and started laughing. They turned to see what was so funny and read the sign themselves. I looked at them and said, wow, its just like West Virginia (indicating that west Virginia is a hick state where people marry their cousins etc. no offense) I walked away and talked to a HB7.5 in my singles group that was already acquainted with me. A few min later I came back to where I was originally standing and the HB8 pointed at me and gave me the "come here" gesture with her finger. She goes, "you know, we are from west virginia." pause. My crack was because they were watching the west virgina game on tv. I gathered that they COULD have been from West VA but I didn't care. The fact that she called me over and told me, was that a shit test? Was it a general comment? Was it an IOI if I responded correctly? What could I have said in return better? Play. I go over to the HB8 and
ME: Yeah, I could tell
HB: How could you tell?
ME: I saw the look you gave me.
HB: blah blah
ME: I'm from northern VA actually
HB: Where?
ME: blah blah...
then I go into AFC mode, you know the where you from, Im from here, blah blah, oh your from there...cool...blah blah.. going NOWHERE. I ran out of stuff to say or to game them.
So I excused myself BS'd with some more of my friends and left.
Anyone have any better come backs? or Phase shift material they would have done in the situation?
