Gambler and the team here are working together and brainstorming some fantastic ideas, augmentations, and new additions to the forum. I truly believe everyone is going to be happy. Chief is doing a tremendous job, and you're all going to really like what's coming up in the next few weeks.

I, for one, am grateful, thankful, and toats pumped.

Chief, get with the times! Toats is short for totally, which EVERYONE here knows (spread like wildfire on the Nashville meetup)

Now that you're admin, you gotta keep up with this stuff ;)

Oh, so that's what happens when old people try to be young again, huh?
Come on, grandma. I'm 18, turning 19 in Sept. I'm hipper than your hop. :P You're like 53 or something.

And youth does not necessarily mean inexperience, so vote Obama '08!

Oh boo. Qualify qualify qualify I'm only a few years older than you qualify qualify qualify.

Not my fault you aren't down with the hip lingo. Though, yes, according to some of the ill informed members here... I'm like... 80. Glad you're up to date with that :)

Yay Obama!

OK I really shouldn't be promoting this kind of behavior. I'm sorry, everyone.

Whos still here as the "staff' of PUAF, and who are new "staffers"?

Honestly i have to say im kind of disapointed in Brad, he didnt post very often (at least form when i joined). I would have to assume he sold the forum and didnt just hand it over. Dont get me wrong he was nothing but nice to me, in a personal manner i can only praise him....but it just doesnt seem right that he let other prominent members carry the forum to just up and "release" it to someone else.

I was also asked if a post of mine could be carried over to his new forum, for which i told the mod who asked, that my post as far as im concerned is public domain...then i find out (let me know if im wrong) that brad has started another forum where he charges for lifetime membership...

So in essence he let others build up content for him to "sell" this forum, and then carried over the better content we came up with to another forum, where he charges others for it...

In anycase welcome new guys, i have been away for a while and relatively inactive and probably will remain so since i have started up a business that requires my attention.

Looking forward to the upcoming changes!

Talking about changes, the layout of the forum might need a small update ;) just my opinion :)

Also could something be done about the new joiners hijacking threads? Maybe a time-rule, like no replies to other than newbie sections within the first 30 days or so.. As there are a lot of guys who join, hijack a thread and disappear again within a week or two..

just some thoughts :)

I was pretty sure we had put that into place a while ago.... but I'll bring it up to Chief.

All the old moderators are still here and we'll even be adding a NEW moderator in due time.

People with under 30 posts can only create new threads in the Introduce Yourself and the Newbie Questions section.

And, to reiterate what Grape said:
Yayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, just to clarify things, please don't think of me as the "new Brad." I am certainly not the head honcho here. I just happen to be the one who can manipulate the matrix of this website now. :P

I answer to the site owner, the other moderators, AND the forum members in a positively democratic manner. Of course, I'll hold more weight on the wishes and opinions of the owner and mods, though. :D (was that the right expression? hmm...)

Oh dear, power trip incoming

/madals
edit: would it be possible that people cant make a topic in the other sections of the forum until a mod has given them access? I know its a hell of a lot of work for the mods but still. Just an idea. Since having large restrictions on how long/how many posts need to be made just piss of the people who actually have a lot to add, and its just a matter of time for the less informed people.
