I started reading things from this site and pick up books when I was like a freshman in high school or something like that. I had absolutely no game, and knew nothing about how to interact with women. Started at 0. Now, I'm about to be a junior in college, and my game is 1000 times better then when I started. Nothing that I read on this site, or in a pua book did that for me. It was based solely on confidence, and trial and error. I never memorized any stupid scripts of things to say, but took the natural approach. I learned how to be confident and the girls followed in the wake. Success is no short trip, it is a way of life. If you want something substantial there are no shortcuts except for wake up every day and put in the work. Talk to girls even when you feel nervous. Go for the kiss even if you aren't sure she will take it. One approach does more for your progress than an hour reading internet material. This is a good place for reference and to keep your mind thinking the correct direction, but don't let material and real life experience get confused. The only way you learn to pick up girls is in the real world.

I still have much to learn, and I will do that learning in front of women, not the computer.

If anyone has anything to add, I look forward to it.

Many people on here will agree with you; me being one of them. But down gentlemen need that push or that bit of advice or insight and that is what this forum provides.

Absolutely agree. It's about pushing the comfort zone repeatedly.
Mix in knowing some techniques to improve your game in certain situations.
And overcoming inner beliefs that are holding you back.
And I would add- it's alot of work with little results at the beginning...but will turn into
a little work with a lot of results at the end. Great post.

I agree, looking back this forum did provide me with that push and that little confidence in my "techniques" to encourage me to go get at it. But I realize that I didn't have a proper balance of "practice" to "study" at first. So my advice to anyone is try to maintain a good balance of practice to study.

I had the same problem when reading about spirituality in the Power of now, Eckhart Tolle a lot of people here talk about it. reading the book is studying it but applying it to life and meditating is where all the real work happens. Highly recommend it.

My journey in PUA wasn't about learning the corny lines and tactics and routines (though knowing a few helps) it was about building myself up from the inside out.

I made a point to a girl today that i was seeing that i'm just a "normal, average dude"

She responded with "no you're not, that isn't you , you need to aim higher than 'normal, average'".

That basically is it; striving to be the most interesting man in the room with ambition, talents, and attractive qualities that trumps everyone else in the room.

Make you into the best you, and you will take you far.
