That site was equivalent to a room full of 10,000 retards in straight jackets, chasing after a single bouncy ball. What a mess.... To blame a website for Elliot Rodger being a complete fucking psycho? That's ridiculous. That was just a "straw on the camels back" (I think I got that saying right)... It just added to the fire. It made his reality seem even more true once he had thousands of other guys telling him he's right.
His problem started when he was a little kid. If you really want to understand him and WHY he was so fucked up.... I suggest you read his manifesto. If you're in to psychology and can deal with how violent it is, definitely an interesting case. His parents and the superficial environment he grew up in were a main factor. Yes, he was anti social and had whatever mental issues... But that's all shit that you can, at the very least, manage so you don't go apeshit and start killing people. He had alot of negative beliefs in his head that he needed to forget (not have reinforced) and replaced with positive beliefs.
It is a shame that he came across PUA hate and resonated with those guys because I really feel like all of us could have helped him... atleast not kicked him square in the ass off the deep end. I wish this kid would have trolled me because it would have atleast given me the opportunity to talk to him. As narcissistic and sociopathic as that kid was, plus he wasn't a bad looking dude and had a decent sense of style... all that kid needed was a rewire of the brain and a new personality (because his sucked. No wonder girls didn't like the kid... I wouldn't hang out with him acting like that.) and he could have been a MONSTER. Again though, because of the way he was raised... He didn't know a damn thing about hard work or blaming himself for his own problems. His ego was the biggest thing stopping him from changing.
Shit happens. It is what it is... Since the media likes to blame things like misogyny, racism, and the NRA for things like this, all we can do is do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again. It just sucks that guys are so "full of themselves" that they are too scared to reach out for help.
I've looked at the media print b/c I had interaction with him through this website several months ago. When I first read about it and read the "Africans with blonds" references of the manifesto that initially went to associated press print, I almost knew it was him. So in a big way it hit close to home for me. He was a guy I tried to pour 14 years of my own experience in to in the matter of a few months in the matter of maybe 8 to 20 threads if memory serves. It's either a fact or suspected that he had asbergers (sp) syndrome. It's the same disease the guy in Rhode Island had that busted in to the school and killed 30 kindergartners.
His parents had him in professional therapy for years. He had no way of positive thinking. No matter how many people on here gave him good advice and I read a lot of good advice people were giving him and agreed, he rejected it over and over again. He was so painfully shy and awkward but intelligent that I seriously doubt he ever had the balls to approach his first "hot blonde". That, along with existing mental disease added to his frustration towards women and his social status. BUT, that was only a small point of the equation. "The Straw that broke the Camels back" is the saying; what I would likely imagine was getting drunk for the first time, getting a lot of liquid courage to go speak, and going to the party and getting beat up and his leg broken. I haven't read the entire manifesto but small bits and assume that's how it went down.
He had been through numerous high schools and kept having to transfer b/c of anxiety panic attacks and standing still in hallways refusing to go in to classes; His parents divorced when he was 7 which seemed to effect him tremendously. He would not talk to people at social gatherings whatsoever. One on one conversation to another person if that person approached first, he could handle briefly, but even shied away/walked away from that after a few sentences.
Biological mental illness at birth was the root of his issue then other things in his childhood started effecting the way he saw life, like any mass murderer. The divorce of his parents at a crucial age for him hurt a lot according to what he wrote. His issue was not hot Blondes, or not getting sex, or websites he trolled, or apparent social status. If he was not shy and could interact with people and particularly women, He only would have been another Ted Bundy.
BTW, you guys arguing over trolling that PuaHate things are wrong for that. I've read a little bit of that and a lot of those guys are in a lot of pain and loneliness and it's not their fault.
