When I make her feel wanted she pushes me away

When I'm casual with her she seeks my approval but when I make her feel wanted it's the opposite.
Eg. I say: I enjoy spending time with you, she says I like being wanted but her behaviour afterwards doesn't show that.
How do I deal with this girl?

don't qualify so much, get her qualifying herself to you

it will create attraction and it will get her to invest more - there is no need to say things like that and it just comes across as needy
