Hello Guys,

Here's my dilemma. I need to set up a first date with a girl who's 20 years old. I'd like to go to a quiet bar for a first date, but the problem is that she'll get carded. So I'm thinking dinner, but that takes a lot of investing. Any better suggestions?

Coffee shop maybe? Don't really seem like you have a lot of options. Make sure to tease her about how she is still a kid tho

Some fairly "safe" options would be a coffee shop, bowling, just a casual walk or trip to the park, even the cinema if you really have to.

It'd be worth looking at a local "what's on" type website for your area, or talk to people, and find a really good spot. When I lived in London there was a place called Bounce which was a bar but had loads of table tennis tables there too - great place to take a girl as a slight alternative to the usual quiet drink, you could have a drink first in some seats down the side whilst waiting for a table, then have a couple of games and a bit of a joke around, and then go somewhere else for another drink after. In the city I'm in at the moment I've just found a great little indoor crazy golf place which would do the same job. Places like that are great because they really let you have some fun and show off your jokey/teasey side, especially if the girl isn't a sporty girl.

Go ice skating. It's always worked for me.

Cinema sucks. You can't talk because ppl tell you to STFU and you can't escalate or you'll miss the movie.

Thank you for the input guys! I have this tendency to set up dates by night, which excludes most of the options you've mentioned. In this case, a date by daytime is more appropriate. Seems obvious now, but I hadn't thought about it..
