I've read a lot of posts on here and it seems like a lot of ppl are far more concerned with the potential fallout to the community. Guys at the end of the day the community will go on, but 6 innocent lives will not. I think its time we stop worrying so much about our precious community and start showing some compassion and respect to the families and the victims. There may not be anything we can do to help those affected, but the least we can do is care and show some compassion. One thing we can do as a community is do our best to stop low ball pua's from using this tragedy for marketing purposes and personal profit.

Anyway that's all I have to say.

It's all well and good to respect and mourn for the victims - but let's face facts - most of the people on these forums didn't know the murderer or his victims.

There's a lot of misinformation going around, and that misinformation could convince people the most in need of it (like Rodger's) to avoid learning legitimate ways to become better with women.

He certainly had mental illness/blindness from his affluence, but he also hated PUA, and felt he was forever relegated to never being good with women, despite doing "all the right things" (buying stuff, being super nice/sweet to girls), which many people on these forums know are exactly NOT the right things to do.

It's not so much, "hey, oh no, people will be upset at us!" - because fuck that. Who cares? This sort of thing is already looked down upon by most people. It's about being the fact that it is -our- responsibility, as the only community aimed at helping men get better with women, to prevent this sort of thing happening in the future.

PUA has gotten a lot more mature as time has gone on. If we want to prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future, we need to achieve some level of respectability, and a way to let men like Rodgers know that there is a solution to crushing loneliness and complete rejection by women. That they're not, "forever alone" if they're willing to work for it and become a better them.

It's not going to affect us. It's his hatred that drove him crazy, sites like PUA Hate advocate such hatred. We're helping men become better lovers, and they do everything only to spite us. It's laughable.
