Hey! I'm new to the game, but goddamn! It works! I had my doubts but im now a firm believer in the stuff ive been reading!! Let me set the scene!

Ive never done awful with women but end up in the friendzone more than i'd like, and have always been nervous approaching new people and talking, regardless of if theyre female or male. I go shy and quiet!

I got recommended The Game by a friend who had read it and said it was a good, interesting read so i thought what the hell! Well after that I was hooked! I read posts on there, read up on NLP, the mystery method and read various posts as well was watching the PUA with Mystery! Then last week I went out for my first night applying what I had learnt!

I went out with a friend who is naturally quite chatty and funny, although he isnt really a PUA, just goes out and meets women! I hadnt told him about any of the stuff id been researching but said that I wanted to go out and see how successful we could be! Immediately walking into the club I felt nervous! We got a drink and headed straight to the smoking area where it was quiet and we could actually open some sets and talk to women without not being able to hear over the music.

As I said, I always had a problem approaching women and knowing what to say other than the usual "Hi are you having a good night...." shit. This time though I though F*** it, its the new me! I didnt allow myself a chance to get nervous and walked straight up to a 4 set with a tattoo opener "my friends little sister has just turned 18 and is thinking about getting a big tattoo on her ribs, thoughts?". This got the conversation started and there was a difference between the girls, come said go for it, some said no bad idea!

After that I engaged in general chit chat, throwing negs to some of the girls in a cocky funny way! I then excused myself and said we could catch up later.

We then went and got another drink and opened up a 2 set with the same opener. After this we again did general chit chat and negs and I talked to one girl while my friend talked to the other. I then did DHV with the girl and started getting IOI's like gentle hits on shoulder when I negged her, then sitting on my knee. It was going awesome for both me and my friend! I then did the "Im trying so hard not to kiss you" line, and then kissed her. Awesome! Kiss close and number close!

Still approaching I find difficult but im definitely more confident in my game now! So thought id share this and just say thanks PUA community! Its a new me!

Good to hear about your success. Yea, it definitely works man. I never kissed a girl until college and still had very little game in college. When I discovered PUA late in college my game improved massively over the years.

It works, well done. Since you're new to it I should warn you about one or two past experiences I had. A lot of girls now know about it, and this girl caught me out "hey, you're doing that thing called game right?" I won't fall in that trap again haha, I was just learning but apply the theory on your own words, the psychology not the actual literal lines.

Similar thing happened to me in a smoking area, The Game is definitely becoming widely known about, but I found that in game, everything is easy to deal with when every approach and conversation you make is purely for your own amusement. Chatting absolute nonsense is a useful skill to have because you appear not to be seeking any approval, like many AFCs would. Just say everything in a humourous, light-hearted way.
As an example, I used the "hey, I like your dress, I saw someone else wearing it a minute ago" line straight from the Game. The girl says "That's straight from the game..", so then I jokingly ask what the game is, and although she knows I know exactly what it is, I made a bit of fun conversation getting her to tell me all about it... then find another girl right close by within earshot of the first girl and make a point of using exactly the same line just to fuck about with them. doing this makes you look so confident as well.
the main thing is just use the game for your own amusement and you can't go wrong

yea, I like your mentality, what we call in england "chattin' shit". its how you say it, not what you say. Im interested in the psychology side of things, and as a no from a girl can mean a maybe and all the illogical way they communicate, I focus on body language, you know about LMRs! keep at it.

What women do and what they say are two different things. focus on what women do and how they actually behave than trying to learn from studies and shit that ask women what they think. I even wrote about this:

Thanks for the replies guys! Luckily I havent encountered a girl that has known about the game yet, but im sure itll happen at some point, the rate at which im opening sets recently!

I have a slight sticking point where I tend to go quiet and fade into the background if someone else is taking over the conversation, im pretty bad at not dealing with the alpha male of the group? Any ideas?

In my opinion, this is the hardest part in all of pick up (dealing with AMOGs). So don't be discouraged, it will come with time and practice.

Yeah, it really does work. I discovered it about two years ago but only really got into it in the past year.

My average standards on girls went up TREMENDOUSLY.

I used to have huge problems with escalation, etc, but now it's easy to get a date, meet a girl, etc.

It only gets easier (though you can definitely lose it if you stop for a while - I'm there now).

Practice makes perfect!
