You're too emotionally invested in this discussion. You said things that cast my character in a negative light. I understand you disagree with my points, but the way to disagree with points is to state reasons why those points are not credible. You don't state things to diminish the speaker.

Now back to my point, telling a girl you like her can encourage her to show interest in you if she already likes you because it removes the fear of rejection. Also, telling a girl you like her can give her a pleasant feeling and she may like you for it.

However, fear of rejection and doubt are all things that can be lost by telling a girl you like her when these things can actually encourage a girl to pursue you.

Additionally, some compliments may have no value at all. Telling a pretty girl she is pretty for instance. If a girl feels too satisfied you can't tease her; how do you tease someone that already has what they want?

Ultimately, you want a girl to feel proud and pleasure. The pleasure comes from the compliments. The pride comes from having value, showing value, and having her believe in your value. Sleeping with you, dating you, and hanging out with you should feel like an accomplishment, an achievement. If you compliment to much you seem easy and you lose value. If you show interest you can lose value.
