Sure, getting slapped may happen and it's not a big deal, but it isn't a goal, it isn't a mark of someone that is putting in a good amount of effort. I don't think I have ever been slapped and I consider that a good thing, because that just shows that I've got good calibration.

Some people might think that you won't know how far you can push it 'til you've crossed the line, but I too am proud that I've never been slapped during a pick-up.
TreasuredForumer - you've got the right idea about pushing toward the limit, but the game should be to try and not cross to the point of them to slap you out of frustration. In my opinion, at least.

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada | | I've definitely crossed the line, but the only time that I've crossed it THAT bad was years ago and a girl threw a book at me in english class while we were doing reading in small groups. Crossing the line to learn where it is, is one thing, but crossing it bad enough to incur violence is being WAY off calibrated and not something to be proud of.
