I would have to say other, because each situation and girl is different. Sure, if the date is set up by me, and we go somewhere that costs, then obviously I should pay. If it's set up by her and we go somewhere that costs, I would find out from her before I even went if she expected me to pay. If so, I most likely wouldn't go, depending on exactly what it is that she set up. But, I would first expect her to, if she set it all up. Now, if we just go somewhere to hang out or have fun, then we'd probably split the cost. Each paying for what we do ourselves. Unless she made it worth my while to pay a little extra . . .

So, as I said, each girl and situation is a bit different.

I was thinkin about this the other day at work and was wondering when if ever should i fork over the money and i would say first night meeting someone i wouldnt and like the post above me i would pay according to who initiated the date.

i always pay. and i know i dont have to, but outside the club, i like to treat a girl right. lol i like to treat her right in a club too, but you know what i mean...

General Rule that has worked well for me.

I always pay for the first date. You'll lose nothing by doing so. However, I always pick the place we go so I control the budget. If you're broke, have the first date be somewhere fun and free and have the meal be sandwiches you eat on the boardwalk or coffee. Don't be cheap.

On the second date, I make her pay for something. Either a movie, coffee, or dinner itself.

On the third date, she pays or I walk.
