I don't know exactly what type of music you like- choose something you enjoy. I usually put in music to slow things down, not speed them up, and create a good mood. Your choices are slow paced but to me they seem really straightforward in their "makeout" intentions, but if you can get away with it then go for it.
Here's what I would play:

"The Weight of the World" Editors
"Bright Young Thing" Albert Hammond Jr.
"Maps" Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's - OMG this one is killer! 8)
"Starlight" Muse
"Put Your Head Towards the Air" Editors - Really slows things down

Again, I'm not sure what style music you're into. I'm much more into the Rock scene...however I'll just put up some songs from a playlist I made for last night when HB8 came over. It was such a good hook-up list too, in my opinion.

Every Breath You Take - The Police
Right Here In My Arms - HIM
Unwell - Matchbox20
Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Home - Foo Fighters
When I'm Gone - 3 Doors Down
Boys Of Summer - The Ataris(cover song, but I like it better than Don Henley's.)
Jesus Christ - Brand New
Yellow - Coldplay
Lazy Eye - Silversun Pickups
Motorcycle Drive By - Third Eye Blind
Whoa - Paramore
Forget It - Breaking Benjamin
One Headlight - The Wallflowers
Wake Up - Coheed and Cambria
Smile Like You Mean It - The Killers
Wrapped Around Your Finger - The Police (Funny because when this song came on I was in the middle of fingering her. haha.)
Hanging By A Moment - Lifehouse

That's some of the playlist I made for last night. I'll spare you the rest because it was over 3 hours long.

~Muse

I definitely agree on the Frank Sinatra, he's always money. I agree with Soma that the songs should be ones that you enjoy. I think its important to mix it up a lot while keeping a chill but stimulating SPAM. I like:

Frou Frou - Breathe In
311 - Amber
Audioslave - I Am The Highway
Air - Playground Love
Bush - Glycerin
Fink - Pretty Little Thing
Coldplay - Don't Panic
Zero 7 - Destiny

Pretty much anything Jagged Edge, a lot of the old Boyz II Men, some Usher, Pretty Ricky, some of the B2K stuff.... I have a playlist on my iTunes I use, here's whats on it...

Dream - Shawty is a Ten
B2K - Why I Love You
Bow Wow & Chris Brown - Shorty Like Mine
Cassie - Me and You
Ja Rule - Always on Time
Ja Rule - Put it on me
Ginuwine - Pony
P. Diddy & R. Kelly - Satisfy You
Jagged Edge - Walked Right Outta Heaven
Next - Wifey
Jagged Edge & Run-DMC - Lets get Married
Jagged Edge, P Diddy & Fabolous - Trade it all
Pretty Ricky - On the Hotline
Pretty Ricky - Your Body
Usher - Burn, Confessions I & II, Nice & Slow, You Got it Bad
Jagged Edge - He Can't Love You
Staind - Its Been Awhile
Incubus - Stellar, I Miss You
P. Diddy, Loon & Usher - I Need a Girl I & II
112 - Peaches N Cream

Stuff like Jagged Edge, B2K, Usher, Chris Brown, Keith Sweat, Next, 112, Pretty Ricky.... pretty much any of that is a hit with all girls but rocker/goth chicks.

Some of the stuff listed above is ok but I can definately see a girl being like "you listen to Sinatra???" or the "yeah, yeah yeahs" with a stupid look on her face.... I'm sorry but are you serious??? no girl wants to listen to Sinatra unless she's 60, yea Sinatra and Tom Jones were pimps but not anymore and I don't know a girl who listens to them or knows any of their songs.... A lot of whats listed above is rock/alternative which is fine but R&B puts the girl in the mood, usually talks about sex and gives you a nice beat to hump to, I guarantee theres been a thousand times more girls boned listening to Jagged Edge, Usher and Keith Sweat alone than all the rock bands listed above... look at it this way, download the song "Poppin" by Chris Brown and listen to it, tell me that song isn't gonna turn a girl on... Speaking from experience, my g/f in college was a huge, huge Incubus fan and all she listened to was rock and alternative but when it came to us having sex, her favorite song for me to beat it up to was "Always on Time" by Ja Rule...

Listen to Maps by the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs and tell me it's not money. I played it with one of my good girl friends and she said that it was not only a good song but creates a romantic mood. Maybe its just my music taste, but I think its the shit. If she makes fun of your music taste at this point give her a good freeze out.

I definitely hear you on the R&B. I got to admit I kind of overlooked that aspect. I still do think theres a place for the alternative stuff too though.

One that I love is Eels - Fresh Feeling. I'm guessing nobody knows it, but it was at the end of the latest episode of Chuck. I first heard it from an early season of Scrubs, and it is on the Scrubs soundtrack.
