Just thought I'd share this little tidbit from my life with you guys, just to prove I have horrible luck.

For the past year I have had one-itis. I like her, she likes me, we get on great, but we live too far away from each other.
When I first read about one-itis I thought, awesome, at least my one-itis is so far away it can't hurt me. This is good because every time I talk to her I regress 6 years mentally, to before I'd even kissed a girl.
She never minded of course because we had rock-solid attraction/rapport.

BUT(And here's where I prove that fate is a mean sonuvabitch) she's now coming to college in my hometown...with her boyfriend of nearly a year.

I know what you're gonna say...
GAME HER! BOYFRIEND DESTROYER!
Except, she really does make me regress to the point where I can't even think about game around her. Even if I could it'd make me feel dirty all over.

This is not a call for advice, this is something I just had to get off my chest.

I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago.

I did the only polite thing, I went over and greeted them (and the group of people they were sitting with). I tried to textbook it, and told them I could only stay a second b/c I had some friends I was going to hook up with. While ignoring her I told the group a lame joke and then went on. Later on I walked passed the group again, and proceeded to sit down. I was a little buzzed, but so were they. I ignored my one-itis completely and focused on being interesting and outgoing towards the rest of the group. Long story short, I worked her boyfriend a lot (though I never managed to out-alpha him). He ended up ignoring her completely (as I did) and laughed at my stupid jokes. The late one-itis striving for me and the boyfriends attention unsuccessfully. After a while I stood up, and told the group it was nice meeting them but I had to go.

This happened at a night on the town though, so it made it a lot easier. The bf didn´t know much about me and the girlfriends history (mainly because there wasn´t a lot to know), and actually ended up buying me a beer. I doubt it had a lot of effect on my late one-itis, but it was fun anyway. My regrets are not being able to out-alpha him, and I should have negged her more and I should have worked the others on the table more.

Oof.That's some ironic shit.
