Is it a bad idea to let a girl see your facebook or myspace if you don't have that many friends on it? Would it completely destroy your persona of being popular?

Make it seem like you barely use it. Don't edit it a lot and update things, pretend you check it like once a week.

That's one way of dealing with it.

I'm just trying to think ahead. I think it would just be better if I remained mysterious, and said something like "sorry, I don't give my info to strangers, you're gonna have to stalk me the hard way"

It killed me. A girl I met added me as a friend a few days later, and ever since, we've barely talked. She put me in her top friends and I didn't even bother to do the same with her. I also have HBs leaving messages regularly, so she probably felt intimidated.
