On dating sites online I'm always rated about 9.5 based on my looks but I don't know how to really use this to my advantage when picking up. Should I neg less? Do I need to DHV less? I really don't know what kind of advice I should be taking because it seems like any girls that would want to open me up are too intimidated. Sounds like a great problem to have, right?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First, being pretty is no better than being ugly. It'll help, but you need tools that will help you deal with the handicap (and a handicap it is). Being so pretty you're intimidating means that you need to show a lot more authenticity in your interest. Really hit hard on relate-reward cycles. Make sure your SOI sounds genuine. And be _warm_. Not cocky, not sarcastic, _warm_. You need to have them see you as a person, not a pretty guy with an attitude. _________________ Repent now and save 50% on your next divine judgment.

Cocky-funny can be pretty intimidating coming out of someone perceived as dramatically more attractive than ourselves. You can still be funny, and let her know that you are very definitely the 10, but be _warm_. Have energy. Be happy to see her. Play with her. Push-pull. Let her know that your interest is genuine, and has more to do with her personality than her appearance, and you'll find yourself a lot more effective in the field.
Pretty girls have self-esteem problems too. If she thinks you're out of her league, you have to let her know you're pitching to _her_. _________________ Repent now and save 50% on your next divine judgment.

How should I go about the pickups then? opener, no neg, display my personality, then show genuine interest, or should i open, no neg, then start displaying interest i.e. asking her questions about herself etc. ?

You want to come in with an opener (canned or otherwise), and work on building a conversation. When she does or says something that impresses you, make a Statement of Intent (SOI). Something along the lines of "I find your sense of humor sexy." This lets her know it's on; if she continues the conversation, she is continuing the conversation in a sexy place. Use these as rewards for behavior you like. If she does something you dislike, punish her for it by paying attention to other people. Kino escalation as per normal, and use whatever closes you are most comfortable with. _________________ Repent now and save 50% on your next divine judgment.
