| In australia we call it Naught and crosses not tic tac toe, but thanks here2learn for the idea, this is a very long post but it has some good stuff in it.
After reading a post about a naught and crosses opener for in class/lectures I decided to try it in a business course, on the way in I
spotted an HB7.5 and walked behind her and she sort of held the door on the way in, I said in quite a loud voice, thanks so much that’s very kind of you, (as if she did it on purpose not out of habit). She laughed and looked at me
The lecture had started so more talking was not possible. Even though the
lecture theatre was 70% empty I followed her and sat next to her and smiled, she smiled back.
For the first few minutes I gave her no attention focusing ONLY on the lecture. Then I drew up the first naughts and crosses grid and put my first move in and passed it to her with a smile face and a note saying “your turn”.
Ok so the ENTIRE following conversation was made in notes that made up 3 FULL double sided A4 pages!
We made two moves and wrote a note that told me I won, I tried the “what do I win” but she just replied the feeling of winning.
She then asked “whats the trick?” I replied no trick (thinking this is naught and crosses not a complicated math game).
I drew up another grid and it was a tie, I drew up a third but she said “no more”
So I drew a sad face and asked what her name is, she replied HB7.5 and asked mine, she said nice to meet you, aren’t you in my XXXX course? I replied I was and decided this was going down and AFC line of conversation,
So I flipped the paper and wrote CAT or DOG? She circled dog, I nodded approvingly (probably should have negged here but I genuinely approved) she then said “youre strange” to which I quickly replied U2.
I then went for a Neg realizing I clearly missed the dog cat opportunity, I noticed she was wearing two bracelets one small black one and a large brown one, so I said “I like your bracelet (the black 1) but the brown 1 is
HUGE!!! She circled my comment about the brown one and said “It changes color its cool!!!”
I asked “can it do blue?” she shrugged, I took this opportunity to get in some Kino and sort of fondled the braclett on her arm, and motioned for her to give it to me, she did and I put it on and asked if it suited me! She said it did so I asked her if I could keep it! Of course she said know so I reasoned with her if I could wear it till the end of the lecture. She agreed but she said I had to promise to give it back at the end, I went for more Kino and held up my pinky for a pinky promise. Worked plus got a giggle out of it
She had a take away coffee so I motioned and asked her long black or flat white? She answered “I don’t even know I asked for mocca but its CRAP”
I replied “what don’t you like about the taste?” she said “theres no chocolate taste” perfect opp for a neg I said “you arnt sweet enough w/o chocolate” to which she drew >< sort of asian angry face. So I told her she should try swiss style coffee that’s mixed with coco
She asked me where I could find it I told her at my place of course (got a giggle)
I then asked and found out where she lived (one of the dorms on campus)
Then she asked what my major was, it was similar to hers but we where back in AFC conversation territory,
As things where going well, I tried one of the counter intuitive routines I find very hard to get my head around, I told her “our major was similar but im sorry it will never work out between us! She replied ‘LOL no comment!”
I then continued, “we are just too similar in personality” keep in mind this is a girl Ive never actually SPOKEN too this entire conversation is on paper!
She asked me what I learnt, I interpreted this as about her and said “I had learned that when she wrote notes in class they where not neat (slight neg)” I then asked what she had learnt, (she meant from the class) she said “Nothing I feel really stupid”
I replied “well you said it not me, but you will have to prove that to me 4 me to believe it” (slight neg) didn’t want to get too negative on her so tried subject change, did mysterys mind reading routine, got it wrong both times but then ended by saying “cant believe you believed id be able to read your mind” which got a laught.
Then basically the class ended, so I could finally talk to her normally, I said, “since you are having trouble with this class, I can help you out some time, you should give me your number, she was a bit reluctant but did,
Then a weird thing happened her girlfriend came up and I introduced myself (doing the long hand hold after shaking) and put all my attention on her, this odviously worked because after that she was very keen to get my attention back, and she even said it was better if I gave her my number so she could call me.
Open to analysis and whatever, thaught it might be usefull to have a very detailed play by play Usually people forget details, but in this case was made possible by the fact EVERYTHING was written down! It was like IM pre computers!
