I'm really tired right now and it's the dead of night, but I have to put these thoughts in writing as they have been bugging me for the past few days.

When women have sex (and when they give birth), they release a lot of a chemical called oxytocin into their bodies. Men primarily release testosterone instead. Oxytocin is the chemical responsible for making you feel a strong desire to bond and cling to whomever is in your presence at the time of release, while testosterone does no such thing. This is why women feel closer to you after you fuck them, why they are so attached to the children they give birth to, and why men feel like running off and spreading more of his seed instead of committing.

I am very conscious of my innate male desire to have multiple sexual partners and not be monogamous. However, I certainly am not a fan of hurting the women I sleep with. Oxytocin makes women more attached while testosterone makes men more detached, and therein lies the conflict.

My ideal sexual life would involve living in a world where both men and women have safe, detached sex for the fun of it, almost as if it were sport. How can this world ever exist with oxytocin making one party more attached than the other? Sex should be promoted widely, moreso than violence and gore.

It would be great if women were evolving to be able to suppress their oxytocin releases or something like that, but I'm afraid that oxytocin release is a natural part of being a woman. Perhaps that's just one of the greatest parts of the sexual experience that makes her feel like a woman.

Goddammit. I don't fucking want kids. Unless it gives a more pleasurable orgasm to the woman, oxytocin serves no purpose for me. It's just fuel for all the Hollywood oneitis romance crap.

But then again, maybe a man needs to feel a woman's attachment to feel like a man. But then how is he to leave her better than he found her... and actually do the "leaving" part?

Jeez. More later, I guess. Feel free to discuss and feel more than free to reframe me toward some answers lol.

Hmmm, it was almost certainly created because of past human nature. What you have to remember is genetically humans and millions of years out of date in regard to what enviroment our bodies are designed to live in. We are essensially still cave men and women, the only thing that really seperates us from animals is the (of bugger i cant remember what its called :) ) part of your brain that creates emotion.

Now, why would women become attached while men want to move on? This is basically what the MM method covers very early on, S & R value.
women are needed to replicate, yet they need saftey for both themselves and the children. However, men as a defult have more saftey value (i am talking cave man terms here, men were bigger/stronger) and therefore are looking to replicate. Now, whats the fastest way for a man to replicate? many women. 9 months is a bloody long time for a cave man (when u consider little medical knowlage and an average life span of say 30?).
However, this model no longer works in the modern day world, women are perfectly capable of saftey on their own. That is partly the reason i think PU is so popular, its so much harder now than say a few thousand years ago. Men still need to replicate, have the same urges etc etc. Women however are no longer driven by a need for saftey, they alread have it. Will it change? eventually. But would it be in the interest of human survival for it to change in the way you want tho? that would be the true question and if it would work.

You don't leave her. You keep her around and all your other little sex-buddies until she gets so repulsed by your actions she musters up the courage and leaves you herself. That way she feels powerful and self-motivated to treat sex like a sport and learns to cope with the situation because it's bound to happen again. Until one day.. BAM love+marriage+babies+happily ever after until she fucks another guy and divorces them.

If you're interested in this stuff you really should read The Red Queen: the evolution of sex and human nature.

I read it before I even knew about The Game or PUA, and I liked how they mentioned it in The Game as well.

Good read.
