You getting laid? You want to get laid? Well, this is a public service announcement for all of you.

Do yourself a favor. Before you're balls deep in some chick, ask if she's got an STD. Nope, it's not sexy, but it's necessary. She looks clean? Doesn't matter. She's got a good job. Nope, not a good excuse.

On March 11, 2008, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated that 3.2 female American teens had an STD, that's 26%. That means that for every four cold approaches that you make, one of those chicks has an STD. To be quite honest, some of them may not even know that they have an STD, but you'll be reducing your risk by asking them if they've got something BEFORE you're inside them.

• The estimated number of people living with a sexually transmitted disease (STD) in the United States is over 65 million.
• Every year, there are approximately 15 million new cases of sexually transmitted disease (STD), some of which are curable.
• About 66% of all sexually transmitted disease (STDs) occur in people 25 years of age or younger.
• One in four new sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) infections occur in teenagers.
• Hepatitis B is 100 times more infectious than HIV.
• At least 1 in 4 Americans will contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD) at some point in their lives.

It's not all about the woman having a STD, it's about you too. Get yourself tested. Where do you get tested? I would definitely recommend going to your own doctor and speaking to him or her about it. If you can't do that, then click on this link to find a testing center near you: http://www.hivtest.org/.

Keep in mind that there are some types of STDs that cannot be detected in men. You may be a carrier of this disease and have no clue that you have it. That is why it's important to prevent yourself from being a carrier in the first place.

How do you ask? Honestly, it's going to be a bit difficult. You are not going to want to ask if you're in the heat of the moment or if you've got a couple of drinks in you, that's normal. Have some self control, damn it, a little bit of will power. Take a deep breath, control the frame that you've been working on for however long you've been in the community, and ask. You can lead into the conversation by telling her that you get tested for STDs every 6 months, whether you've had a partner or not. Then, you ask her when the last time that she got tested was. Then you tell her the results of your last test, she should follow suit, if not, ask her directly. Be honest with yourself, be honest with her. Be direct, don't allow the questions to be misconstrued. If she gets all bugged out, she's not worth being with, even if it is for one night.

When you ask her about her disease status, she may throw some shit tests at you:
"Do I look like I have a STD?"
"Do I look like a whore?"

Make sure that you answer these questions appropriately. Do not allow yourself to get in a back-and-forth conversation about whether she looks like a slut or not. Tell her "I'm not asking you because I think that you're dirty. I'm asking you because I want to keep myself safe, you should want the same. If you don't want to keep yourself safe, well, then this just isn't going to work out between us." That last part is not a false disqualifier, it's a real one. If she's not willing to discuss if she's got a disease, she's not worth being with.

You owe it to yourself to be safe. You have a moral and ethical obligation to keep others safe. You will be going against a basic principle of pick up if you do not leave her better than you found her. You are only given one life, take care of it.

Keep in mind that, at the end of the day, YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND.

PS: Wear a friggin condom every time. Stay away from the sheep skin ones, they don't block out the diseases. Don't ask questions, just do it. If you play with fire, you're going to get burned.
