Well ... I did kind of a little experiment this last week.
Approached girls on different situations with and without a hat.
I think, that a hat, besides being a peacock tool (Unless you're in a hat convention or on a cowboy stuff, where 90% of the crowd is wearing hats) is a good IOI. Why?
On clubs, where there is a high energy. Sometimes a girl would actually walk up to you and ask about your hat (peacock) .. you can then proceed.
Its also a good IOI on the attraction phase. If a girl asks for your hat, she's interested.
Field report of a party. A girl friend invited me, so I dressed up all fancy.
We arrive, she introduces me to the friends (guys and girls)... I spot a target .. ( I would also love some comment on how I did, since I'm not a mPUA ) ...

Me: So, are you the bad girl in the group?
Target: Ooh yaah, I'm mean ...
Me: Well, you don't look so mean to me... (turn to my friend) Does she always brag like that?
As the night progresses, I manage to isolate her ... and we're talking and she takes off my hat (a huge cowboy hat) and puts it on, and I take it off her, and I'm like

Me: You haven't earned this hat yet
Target: Aww why not? ..
Me: Why yes? ;P
Target: Because blah blah blah blah
Me: Shh you talk a lot. Where's your off button ? Here lets play a game give me your hand (cold reading) ... Oooh.. interesting (I push her hands away)
Target: What? Whats interesting?
Me: nothing, its not important, here give me your hands again (trust test) this a trust test. Look into my eyes... now look into my lips ... back into my eyes ...
I hold her hand low now...
Me: On a scale from 1 to 10, how good of a kisser are you?
target: I'd say a ten ...
Me. yeah right you wish ...
target: I mean it ..
Me: lets see
(make out blah blah)
Me: I'd give you a 9 but here you can have the hat ...( she goes on me again) then after a while she's hugging me and I whisper into her ear "good conversation is all you get for tonight" ...
I didn't asked for her number or anything (tbh she's not my type of girl to see more than once) ...
and my friend is like
"___ Is always asking for you, she says when are you going out with us again" and stuff like that ...

What do you guys think? About the game, and about the hat theory ... You can also see Simeon attract a lot of attention with that hat. He puts it on to almost all the girls he K-closed on the series ...

I definitely agree. Whenever I wear a hat (granted I wear baseball caps, not "hats" like mystery) but what it does is allow a girl to initiate contact without it being awkward. Usually, after I've spoken with a girl for a bit if she puts my hat on that's an IOI (and then I eff it up )

I have also put my hat on girls and if I walked away she'd basically follow me because she was wearing MY hat after all.

Exotic hats work wonders, because girls are not used to a guy having a hat like that (unless its Vegas lol). I bought some rings and a huge medallion necklace and they always get attention, specially if its a symbol they don't know. They'll go like. "What is that symbol?"

Being summer I see a lot of people wearing hats and golf caps. I agree it is a good peacocking accessory but I have got a $30 hair cut that would hide under the hat .

I always wear a hat. It destroys. Get opened up all the time by it - if she takes it off your head without asking, she is about to get absolutely gamed.

It is perfect, a tool that should be in every PUA's arsenal. Seriously - easy to tell IOI, plus conversation starter, plus can be used to neg her.

I'd like to try a hat but my hair is part of my peacocking already...is there a good way to have a hate on you but not having it on your head? I'm going to pick up some rings and right now I wear a bracelet that my 7 year old sister made for me. Everybody that sees me with it thinks I'm either gay or they have to ask me about it. For the hbs I always tell them my little sister made it for my birthday and they all say "Awwwwwwwwww that's so cute!" It's a free cheap looking bead bracelet I'd definitely recommend it.
