| *I wake up at 1:30pm, overslept, ugh I am not going to the mall today…
So I thought.
Earlier in the week I put alot of thought about going to the mall and made it a mission to do so, to experiment and approach women in a pretty much female dominated environment. Which is more then true.
I walk around the house drank some coffee and said I am going through with this, I threw on some decent cloths to head to the mall. With the intention of approaching at least 1 women, I can muster up the courage to do so.
After battling through traffic, I finally arrived, walk through the sears section. After a bathroom break and an unexpected purchase of 2 Doctor Who shirts I spot a lady sitting by her self. Time to approach.
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her her name….
She was drinking a starbucks coffee so Ill just call her star for now.
I walk up take a seat and this was the conversation:
Me: Hey
Star: Hey (smiles)
Me: So, What are you doing?
Star: Nothing, I am just waiting for a friend, she works at Koul’s. (says some other stuff that transitioned into going to school)
Me: Ahh, I see, Which school do you go to?
Star: StonyBrook.
Me: Really? (As learned by Nick, overly expressive)
Star: Yeah! (Smiles)
Me: What are you studying?
Star: Something Arts (I couldn’t hear her too well She did repeat herself but I just made believe I heard the second time)
Me: Really thats interesting, What do you do for a Job?
Star: nothing just go to school right now. do you go to school?
Me: Ahh, no not currently.
Star: Did you stop going?
Me: No I have yet to enroll in college.
Me: Still live with your parents?
Star: yeah…(Makes face like has no choice) Kinda need to. Do you?
Me: yup I live with my father its the cheapest way to live these days.
We talk some more blah blah stuff and transition back to what she wanted to do for a career.
Star: Something Therapy (Again she was kinda soft spoken so hearing her was not an easy task, I pretended like I understood)
Me: Really!? That’s fascinating. (I believed it really was)
Star: (Finishes her coffee and gets ready to find her friend) Well I have to go find my friend.
Me: Ok, So whats your number? (I am bad at number closing due to her reaction, although the conversation went rather well)
She became hesitant…
I Thought “now shes trying to figure out a way to reject me”
So I said “Feel free to reject me” With a smile.
She said “Ill take your number instead”
A polite rejection. Better then running away screaming.
I gave her my Number and said “It was a pleasure speaking with you” she complied and we parted ways.
Number closing in first encounters was always something I have had some trouble with, when I already know the girl for a short time it is much easier and they have no problem.
Approaching and talking is not the hard part, getting the number in the first approach is for me anyway. This is not the first number close in an approach, but almost everyone ends with an awkward face of hmm, ok?
Gotta figure out smoother ways of asking for their numbers.
Thats my Lay Report on an approach in a mall, its been a long while since I did one of these due to the ladies at my job, which I am done with.
Time to hit the field and play a new Game. One that may be easier. _________________ "Boys make drama to feel Important
