| Went out with a few mates in Sydney on Friday night. Wittled down to two of us (my wing and I) by midnight. Time to get our sarge on.
Spotted HB8 sitting by herself outside at the club we were at. Told my wing to go open. He opened, was going well. Took my drink and had a smoke a few tables over from them while having a scope.
He seemed to be doing well but was passing too much time. He stood up with her and I though brilliant, he's going well. No! He brings her over and introduces me. "Fair Game now" runs through my mind - I wanted her.
Wing goes to buy a round of drinks. I open with a neg - "You come out alone much? Must be a boring weekend coming up for you!".
Her: "Drunk friends upstairs and needed some space to myself."
I start to line up everything many steps in advance. I tell her she's very easy to read:
"I know what type of girl you are."
HB8: "How do you know that? hahaha"
Me: "Ok then. Hold my hand and close your eyes."
I run Cube routine and she's amazed.
HB8: "But that could have been all lucky bullshit. I'm getting my friend over"
Friend is the bar manager.
Run Cube on him and he says:
"Mate, you've got me to a tee - that's really impressive!"
Her: "You're over confident and cocky."
Me: "Oh, really? I'm just realistic. You're attracted to me and trying to resist it."
(went down a treat)
I notice a change in her - smiling, playing with hair. She asks me what I do for work etc. IOI's are flying my way. My wing just sits back and watches.
We eventually leave and head to another bar, the 3 of us. Trying to shake wing but we're doing OK the 3 of us.
End up at a very popular bar that's cranking - now my mate is the bar manager. Social Proof incoming - we get in jumping the queue and the cover charge, then get a couple of shots for free. Wing goes and opens a 2 set so I take HB8 outside.
I decided to reverse my game, planting seeds.
"What are you doing tomorrow around midday?"
Her: "Ummm..."
"Good, let's do lunch. Put your number in my phone."
She easily obliges - this will now be too easy.
We leave the club and head to another. By this stage it's 2am and I realise i've spent far too long and NEED to close this out.
The 3 of us sit down on a lounge, wing is having a sarge. I frame the conversation for a KC:
"Right. I don't think you are who you are. You seem like a good liar - women are always good liars!"
HB8: "No way, i'm an honest girl!"
Me: "Fine, i'm going to ask you 5 questions..."
Move onto 5 lies. The deal is she loses, she kisses me for ten seconds. If she wins, I buy her drinks for the rest of the night.
She loses, and feels ripped off. I lift her chin with my index finger, and KC.
Ten seconds in I completely stop, and have a drink. She looks at me quizically:
"What's with that?"
Me: "I said you had ten seconds. No more than that. You can't just expect me to hook up with you this quickly! I'm not like that."
Her: Leans in, hand on groin. KC again.
I give my wing the signal. He moves in:
"Guys i'm buggered, I gotta go. Can you drop me at my car?"
Me: "Sure. I'm ready to call it a night."
We drop my wing at his car and head back to HB8's place.
Rest is history.
Self Review
Negatives
- Didn't read my IOIs appropriately. I should have closed this a lot earlier in the night, however it wasn't at risk so was happy just to enjoy the night and have fun with her there, knowing I could close out at any time.
- Wing was very much 3rd wheel. Played to my advantage in closing to FC and leaving, though. Need to strategise with him about reading the interaction sooner and assisting a more natural end.
Positives
- Good play of social proof.
- Rapport built very early. I read the IOI that she left the bar and her friends there to go with me and wing. I should have taken a bit more notice and escalated to a close a lot earlier as above, though.
- Kino was a great play. I would give my kino escalation and spiking 8.5/10, worked very very well.
End of Story: Have had many many FC's lately (9 in the past 2 weeks). But it's game over for me for a while. Got my oneitis pretty badly and putting in the effort on this one.
