It was a chilly Saturday night. My friends and I trudged along the footpath, following the distant sounds of the party we were to attend. I had my phone, drink, smokes, keys and pot. I was ready.
In the strictest sense, I failed this sarge. A PUA is meant to pick one girl (or two) that they like and get her! I changed my target about three times.
The first target was the sister of a girl I had hooked up with previously. I'd say she was a HB8, but I really picked her because the novelty of hooking up with two sisters was too much
She didn't stay that long so I barley got a chance to talk to her, she had to go to work. It didn't help that my friend displayed some pretty low value behavior. Still, she said she would like to catch up at some point, so there's an in.
The second target was a random girl who I found out liked music, which caught my interest. She was a very friendly HB 7.5 and I enjoyed talking to her, but she had a brief conversation with my friend, and after seeing how well they got on, I palmed her off to him. I wanted my friend to have a good night.
The third target was The Odd Girl.
When I first met her, she seemed very nice and outgoing. She beamed at everyone, but still, she was quite a loner at the party. As a consequence, she got the attention she craved from the hordes of AFC's drooling over her. She was easily a HB 8.5. Most of these guys where dismissed easily, but there were two that she seemed to have taken a liking to (apart from me of course, I received massive IOI's from her earlier). Lets call them Pinky and Shorts. They were nothing but AFC's doing the whole nice guy thing, but one proved quite an obstacle.
I walked outside for a smoke and spotted pinky and target talking. It was nearing the end of the party so I decided it was about time to get company. I proceeded to approach them... 'Excuse me for so rudely interrupting your conversation'. I kept the conversation interesting, entertaining and easy. Sure enough, she had forgotten all about pinky and he got discouraged and left. I don't like blowing people out, I really don't, but I could see where it was going. He was too timid to do anything bold and his conversation was too structured. She wasn't interested enough to do anything. Shortly after he left. But shorts stayed, til the very end, he stayed.
After dancing with her for a bit, doing the ol' grid, getting very close, the people present and the party decided to smoke up. We sat at the table outside. On my right was target and on my left was a friend. On her right was shorts, who had been working her all night, and they were having little personal jokes and private giggles. I had alot of catching up to do. I had left for a moment to get a bong and the majority of people came with me. So when I returned I asked shorts 'So, did you two make out while we were gone?' in front of her, and everybody. This was a blowout tactic, i'm still not sure if it worked. But there was definitely tension between them at that point, and that's all I needed.
I proceeded to DV, body rock, neg all in the context of a 'bait-release' or 'push-pull' attraction building structure. It seemed to work at first, but there was something wrong. I soon figured out that she was using the same tactic on me! We were canceling each other out! I don't know if she's a player or not, but she was playing that game all right... She also gave really really difficult shit tests. At one point, she hid the cone of the bong, just to see if I would lose my composure. She also gave my this shit test on relationships. She stated what she wanted in a relationship and then waited to see my reaction, too see if I would agree with her for the sake of it. Pity I answered all her questions with another question. Finally she stated 'I don't want a boring guy' to which I replied 'Sorry, but i'm boring'.

I thought I was stuck. I thought that she was going to get with shorts and that it was all over. I thought that maybe I had negged too much, or maybe, or maybe, or maybe. I thought 'Fuck it, i'm just going to ignore her, don't really give a crap anyway.' But as I was thinking this, the perfect tactic popped into my head.
Freeze-out!
It was at this point I realized that I was starting to internalise the game, something I haden't been able to achieve up to this point. Freeze-Out is a tactic used to reduce LMR. It involves removing all input from you and basically ignoring the girl. After you make her feel so, so good and then you take that away!? It drives girls crazy! And it's on this premise that I decided to employ the freeze-out tactic. Soon she started getting uncomfortable, and quite bored with shorts. Soon she said the thing I was waiting to hear.
'What are you thinking about?'
Ka-ching!
'I don't want to share my thoughts'. I walked outside. She followed. I sat down. She sat down next to me. She kept glancing at me. I stared off into the distance. I let the tension build. Then, at the perfect moment, I offered her a little bait. The tables had turned now, she was trying to hook up with me. I don't even remember what I said, I might have told a joke, I might have played with her. It was just something little, but she pounced on it. She leant in for the kiss, and I responded. Quietly making out, I saw my friend silently high five each other. My ego went through the roof.
THINGS I LEARNT:
- Learn game principles, the psychology behind tactics, and then you can generalize that knowledge to other areas of interaction.
- To game, try to get inside your targets head and play to their tendencies, but one cannot always do this. Some people's brains work in a really messed up way. So work on what you know. For instance, I deducted that target was an attention seeker, and she was having the most fun with my attention. The hiding of the cone piece was not only a shit test, but also attention seeking behavior. I simply took that attention away, and she got desperate to get it back.
- For a good mix, you need about 1/4th tobacco of whatever amount of weed you put in.
- There's a fine line between being charming and being a cockhead.
- If your friends are the type to DLV in front of the girl your trying to pick up, it sometimes is best to be alone.
- Internalizing game tactics is the best thing you can do for your game.
- Picking up other players is so satisfying
