Yesterday night I was at an event on in manhattan on the second fl of a two floor bar/lounge. I left the event on the 2nd fl as it really didn't interest me and went down to the 1st fl.

As I was walking out the door I saw a girl flash her eyes at me. I decided to grab a drink and approached the girl with her friends(About 6 girls in the group, possibly more bc they were in and out at the table). I opened up with a a jealous girlfriend opened with all her other friends except her. They seemed pretty open except the one who thought she was the hottest girl there. Who seemed nice, but then started to act like a bitch to me. The other girls offered me shots who weren't as attractive as her, but were attractive. Note the bitch wasn't my target it was one of her friends.

I eventually started chatting it up with my target and the bitch starts making funny noises next to me in my ear. She started saying random shit to me that I pretty much ignored, that is until she got too close.

At that point I kind of got annoyed and I started hard negging her to my target. Telling my target that her friend seemed a bit immature and borderline retarded, etc...

Honestly I'm never mean to women and never neg too hard, but this one was just pissing me off.

My target agreed that her friend was immature. Which was a good thing to me, because the bitch told her adn the rest of her girls to leave. My target stayed with me and we chatted it up for a good hour. My target took my cell phone and fb friended herself on my phone and gave me her number.
Often I feel like it was a good night because I number closed with a date.

However I feel kind of a lingering anger towards the girl who was completely immature. I also feel like I could have handled the situation better.

Any ideas on how to handle that sort of situation?

Why anger? Try to get rid of that.

That girl was probably just annoyed that she wasn't getting as much attention as she was used to. That was her way of giving IOIs when you weren't paying attention. You could have tried a kino holding pattern (I don't know what to call it but I do it) and put your arm around her, or thumb wrestled without focus or purpose, played with her fingers, whatever can keep a little physical focus on her, all without losing total mental focus on the target. Your target will be impressed by your social intelligence, your ability to easily escalate with her attractive friend but most importantly your focus on her. Be flattered by the IOIs but make it clear that she can't stop you from having a good conversation and she won't earn your attention with immaturity.
