I'm pretty new to this whole pick up artist thing. I have had pretty good success with women in the past, but I am always up for improving my game. I had been reading some pick up and influence books and have been performing the Style Life Challenge (not that challenging). I convinced my room mate, a really conservative mormon boy, to go out sarging with me.

We initially tried going to a more conservative club (strict dress code, dry). And they were closed so we headed to a club neither of us new, but it seemed pretty crowded and cool. Everyone else was wayyyy under dressed, nearly no clothes but nothing glossy or cool and mostly dudes. I started working the floor and the topic of pride week came up. Whoops. I had totally spaced that it's pride week and had taken my conservative friend out to try to get him to be a potential wing and he pulled me out as soon as the cages appeared.

While I was in the club I learned a valuable lesson: social proof works no matter who your clientèle is. I'm not bi or gay, but I hold a gay man's compliments in high regards. I danced with a few guys and got some compliments on my dress. I accredit to to working the room and being a fun guy.

Also, verify your venue-- especially if you're with a new wing, otherwise it may cost you something long term.
