Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm an afc, who's finally gotten some balls together to talk to some girls.

So tonight I'm out with some buddies and I start talking to this really sexy Columbian girl, and I swear she practically picked ME up. Very hands on, telling me she likes my body (lol what? My only response was "I like yours too") and she even was the one who asked for my number (this NEVER happens to me). I promised to give her a call.

So an hour later (4am), I decide to text her:
"Hey what do you say we have that date right now?"
";)"

The moment after sending it I started questioning my choice... and alas no reply. So now I'm just kind of embarrassed.

I'm on vacation so I really have nothing to lose here except my dignity so I was thinking that if she doesn't text back, I'd call her up in a couple of days, explain that the text was embarrassing and that I do stupid things when I drink. And that I'd like to take her out properly if she's willing to give me the chance.

I'm only afraid that she didn't respond not because she was offended but rather that she just didn't care to have that date at all. Thus calling her would just embarrass me more.

As a disclaimer, I am a AFC and actually decided to text her because I thought it would be a lot less intimidating than to go on a full fledged date where I would potentially come off as very boring; killing any sexual feelings that might have existed.

So any advice for this? Should I keep pursuing or just count my loses? She seems like a very sweet girl. Though perhaps a couple of years or more older than me.
