Since Joining, I havn't exactly had the oppurtunities to go out. I just finished my last semester of rowing so the last few weeks all my energies were put into that, then I had a wallet stolen and had to drive a few states back to my parent's to get a new id. Anyways back on topic:
First night, friday. My room mates who are worse than I am with women and I all go out for a few drinks at the beach bars down here. The places were so packed you couldn't really move or hear people, which made making approaches tough. I did approach this one girl a HB 7. She was in a t-shirt dress, very clubby and wearing chuck taylors.
me-"interesting choice of shoes for that dress"
hb-"Thanks"
I turn back to the bar to grab my quarters for the worst game of pool I have ever played
hb-"wait are you complimenting them or do you not like them?"
me-"Well, I think it's an odd combination, you would normally see a girl dressed like you in shoes like what your friends there are wearing"
hb-"It's just a t-shirt dress. casual you know?"
me-" I mean if I were you I would just not give a fuck. I don't and I love it."
at this point the bar tender gave me my quarters and I left to go lose a game of pool to a guy who was so drunk he couldn't stand up.

Saturday night I went out with a different set of friends. We met up at this girl friend of mine's house at the beach to pre-game before hitting the beach bars. The guys I was with went to different bar than the girls at first so I went with them. After getting our first drinks, I broke off and I ran into a few other friends and people from classes and made one or two half assed unmotivated approaches just to start building house. I met back up with them and they were talking with a friend of theirs who was a swim coach at another college and his wife. We all talked for a while and then our friends who had gone to another bar met back up with us and their girl friends were all coming by. I kind of fell out of the conversation before everyone rallied to head to club. We get there and it is pretty empty as it is still sort of early. Anyway I see two girls a 5 and 6 just sitting there laughing and enjoying themselves, so I make an approach from their 2 o'clock. I decided to go with a twist on Style's wallaby opener
me-"Hey guys, having a good time?"
hbs-"Yea"
Me-"let me ask you a question have you seen that commercial with the mini giraffe?"
hb5-"no? I don't think so"
hb6"No.......wait yea why?"
me"well those don't exist but my room mate and I were contemplating getting a mini kangaroo, do you think that would be cooler than a mini giraffe?"
the conversation quickly fell off and I left and went to rejoin my friends. The music volume started going up and the bar quickly filled, mostly with dudes. I have never been one to really venture out on the dancefloor but I actually got out there that night. I have never really understood making approaches on the dancefloor and this is one of the many areas I need to work on.
later the couple from the first bar came in and towards the end of the night the wife was about 30 asked me if I was having fun to which I responded, "Yea, I am enjoying myself but this isn't exactly my kind of scene"
her"yea, I can tell. You seem much more sophisticated and mature than these kids. Just wait until you are out of school, women my age will love you."
me- laughs "Thanks, it is good to hear that"
her"yea I can see you sitting down with a nice bottle of wine and having a long conversations"
me-"haha, that is funny, I'm really into good beers. I almost never drink wine"
blah blah we both transition into other interactions and when she left I was the only one she gave a kiss on the cheek.
Shortly after we left the club and headed back to my friend's house to crash for the night. A month back I had given her and two of her friends a ride to a party. And on the way they made some comments about hearing I was a "Sex God", if I wasn't friends with these girls or if they were hotter I would have let them find out for themselves anyways she brought up that night and I asked her if they were joking or if the girls had actually heard that or if they were just drunk and fucking around. She said that they had actually heard it, so I guess that is good a good rumor to be floating around.
All in all a good weekend even though I didn't even number close. A big confidence booster. Feed back?
