Went out tonight with Doom and my newest partner in crime, Pierce/Frucile. Doom got his fake taken away at the first bar, so we opened street sets and then hit one bar up later. Here are the sets I remember.

Set 1
We were walking down Pearl street and I approach an HB7.5 one set. Accents opener, hooks, but she apologizes and tells me she's about to be filmed for some student movie. I look over and sure enough, some guy is walking towards her, and another guy is filming him. I step out of the shot, and stop a group passing by.

Accents opener again; but these girls turn out to be German! They are about a 7 set with one guy, the hottest being an HB8 (who, it turns out, I met before). Wings and I split the set in two, and I take the 8 and the guy (and 2 UGs). I DHV, cocky funny, build attraction with the whole group. I neg my target, seed my day 2, but she won't qualify to me in front of her whole group.

I ran Dodgers' fingers routine, and my Lingerie Model DHV story. Both worked wonderfully.

As things wind down, target invites us back to their place, I offer to n-close instead, she declines and her friend re-invites us. I eject.

What went wrong?: With better wing communication, I could have isolated my target, which I was I needed to do. I should have tried to isolate her by re-combining our set and then pulling her out. I didn't qualify her or build good kino. I'll see her again (through the International Community), and I'll keep building rapport.


Set 2
I stopped a moving four set which immediately broke into two 2sets, me and wings. I took two girls nHB5 and HB7. Accents opener, it hooks. I skip immediately into A3 with my obstacle, blocking out my target a bit. I start to DHV about my Japanese Friend but I don't get to my spikes quickly. Target gets bored and pulls my set apart. Obstacle stays and chats for an extra couple minutes until I eject and set her free.

What went wrong?: Bad fundamentals; no FTC, no Neg, bad BL, etc. Also target recognized me from "somewhere" (did I open her before?). I didn't include her well, and I didn't raiser her buying temp.


Set 3
Stopped a moving 2 set, accents opener hooked with the HB8 target. HB8.5 obstacle wanted to leave. Bad communication with my wings, they didn't come in. I got mid way through my Japanese DHV, and a guy walked up and complimented me on my hat. I stopped him to chat, hoping to DHV, and my obstacle pulled out my target.

What went wrong?: Again bad fundamentals; no FTC, no Neg. I didn't rope my obstacle in, but my target seemed to enjoy me. I should have complimented her to bring her back, or opened an IVD with her. Better wing communication, again could have helped me.

Set 4
Finally we get inside the Walrus, and I pick a two set, nHB5 HB8. I don't know what the fuck went wrong here, but I did international opener and got side tracked about law school. Target tried to touch my hat. Neg'd her with "it ain't free day at the petting zoo." She looks down, no laugh.

I make amends by handing her my hat, and she inspects it like an insurance rep, and hands it back, remarking that it's nice.

Target then asked why I wasn't drinking, and I did the Style C&F response of "I don't need alcohol to talk to women; but I'm glad yours is giving you the courage to talk to me." She stares at me, looks pissed, turns, and blows me out.

Obstacle sticks around for 5 minutes, and tells me how hot and smart the girl I just fucked up with was. She says I'm a huge asshole, I come off as pretentious, I think I'm better than everyone, and that she's just as smart as me. After all this; she still wants to chat and ask me questions. Eeeeeeeeeeject.

What went wrong?: BL was great, but for some reason my C&F blew me out. I think that response would only be good with high buying temp, and as it was, it came off as asshole-y and not funny at all. I didn't mean it! I just wanted to make her laugh. Pierce points out to me that C&F isn't that fitting for my personality. I'm not sure what I think.


Set 5
I've finally warmed up and socially calibrated myself. I open a seated 2 set, with an HB 7.5 target and an HB8.5 obstacle. I'm conscious that HB7.5 prolly gets less attention normally (she's also less outgoing), so I balance my attention pretty evenly, using my Kino on my target and directing my qualification questions to her.

Accents opener, hooks well. We make fun of some guy who tried to pick them up earlier, all have a good laugh, and raise BT. I keep saying "you need to bring a guy out to protect you against guys like that." They are rushing to agree, and everytime I say it, I can tell I'm pushing myself a little more into the former category from the latter.

I run accents opener, the beginning of Japanese Buddy DHV, LA Trip DHV (wrote it this week), Dallas Trip DHV (wrote it this week), Multilingual DHV (wrote it this week). All work like clockwork. Seed a day 2 with Jazz clubs. I qualify target intermittently on Jazz, ethnicity (Lebanese/Jewish/Euro), and travel. I run Bait Hook Reel Release twice.

When she says Boulder is "fake-liberal" I hug her (she eagerly hugs me twice), and I give her my hat as a prize. She loves it, and her friend insists she model it for the camera. We take a series of photos together lookin sexy. This goes on until closing time. I number close.

As we walk out, Pierce joins us (we lay the seeds to bounce). I open Set 6 on the sidewalk [below]. Pierce brings me back into Set 5, sayin that he's losing the set to another guy who has opened the set.

I come back into set, introduce myself, and AMOG elbow him to the chest. Block him out with my body, and Pierce runs this "are you in movies" routine. Works awesome, we blow him out. Set is indecisive about the Hookah Bar, we decide to cut things off and we eject.

What went wrong?: We fucked up the bounce by not hyping the bounce venue. We did a little bit while we were trying to convince them, but not early enough and not hard enough. I also didn't isolate my target, bounce within the venue, or get into heavy qualification. I should have tried.


Set 6

I'm walking out chatting with Set 5 about how someone thought target was a black girl named LaFonda, and I see an HB7 black girl and I decide to open. I ask if ex-target could be a LaFonda, and we laugh about it.

Target tells me I opened her before, but all she remembers is my DHV spike. I tease, play some C&F, neg my target. I DHV about music. I n-close and Pierce pulls me back into Set 5.

What went wrong?: I was in set maybe 5 minutes, and my teasing and everything was good. I didn't have time to work well, but none the less I should have ran some A2 routines. FTC and neg could have helped too, though they didn't see to find it a problem.


Overall Problems
I need to fix my Body Language issues. I need to use FTCs and Neg's everytime. I'm hitting my DHV spikes with way more consistency, but still not everytime. Kino the same.

Also, I need to learn more about all my wings, have value intros ready, and signals we can use discreetly.

I think what the girl in Set 4 said about my C&F is totally true; I come off an as asshole sometimes. I need to smile way more, show more confidence, and show my acceptance of people.
