I just started studying up and practicing PUA techniques. I met a HB8 at a bar the day before i left for college. I was a complete AFC, giving her compliments when she didnt earn them, DLVing by constantly pointing out my bad dancing ability when dancing with her, and the list goes on.
As an AFC, I usually had failed by this point. However, she was still interested in me, and here is a big factor i believe:
When she went off to dance with a friend, her friend starting talking to me: "Hey, you should take my friend home tonight. She is really good in the sack. She isnt easy, but she is good."
I joked around for her for a bit, then HB8 returned. She saw us talking, and asked me what her friend said about her. Of course, i didnt tell her. I would make up a funny lie, obviously not true. They key here was keeping her friend's comment a mystery until HB8's buying temperature was way up, and she was ready to here it. So instead, she would ask and ask, and I would just keep multi threading with other stories.
I finally told her at the end of the night, and she acted embarrassed, but obviously didnt care. When it was time to leave, she K-closed me, something that had never happened to me at a bar.
I had no idea what i was doing that night, but it was the beginning of the end of AFC. Looking back, i see all the things i did wrong, and the couple things i did that really worked. I have more to the story, a different night with the same girl. I might share later, but this post is already long. Moral of story: Get her friends to talk about her when they are not around. Use that to play with the girl's head.

you can also talk to her friend not just about her... talk about anything and if she ask you can neg her with something like: you are not the point of attention here.. or i dont know something like that...

Good way to overcome your AFC but it kind of sounds like this girl really digs your looks. But the small role playing helped tremendously.
