I'm really a newb to Day 2s. I n-closed an HB8ish in class with the pretext of going mall shopping today for something pink. This girl seems very quiet, low energy, but cute. Not too studious, but doesn't seem much like a partier either. Doesn't talk a lot, but laughs when we talk and let's me tell DHV stories.

So she calls me (back) last night to set up details for today. We agree to meet at one, but she texts me at 12:45, and says she has to pick up her roommate, let's reschedule for later in the day or next week. I say, later in the day, she agrees, and we go at 2:30.

We walked through the mall, she gave me classic IOI questions but in an flirtatious way. I touch her a couple times playfully and she never objects or pulls away. I play C&F whenever she asks about me (so how do you know Japanese? / do you like our class? / why do you want to go to law school), and tease her as I qualify her. I directing the convo, rolling with it, and attempting to run A2 and a little A3.

I had two nice female pre-select DHV moments. A Japanese girl called me and we talked in Japanese for 5 minutes, flirty-like. She asked all about the conversation. I also happened to run into another target at Guess (she works there), and she helped me pick out some clothes and flirted with me.

As we left the mall, I offered her my arm. She tried to use it to frame me, I think I reacted well.

HB: Oh so this is supposed to keep me warm, huh? [takes arm]
Crush: Nah, you got the jacket on, you're keeping me warm.
HB: Haha really?
Crush: Yea, I'm stealing your warmth. I tricked you.

At one point a mother dropped her things, and I disconnected and helped her pick them up. I offered HB my arm again and she took it (after another similar exchange).

We drove home, and we both talked about ourselves. I talked about bringing two Hiroshima Bomb Survivors to speak at CU, etc. She talked about studying abroad. As we got back to her place, we said our goodbyes, I didn't offer to walk her in. She smiled and got out (no hug), and hesitated before saying she'd see me in class on tuesday. I agreed, and drove off.


In Conclusion

I have a lot of Day 2 work to do, so I'm glad I did this. I assumed since the Day 2 came through that I was in A3, but I started thinking I was only halfway through A2. I tried to pick up the pieces, and I think I was fine.

I didn't DLV myself at all, and I did DHV a bit. I also got to qualify her a little. She really didn't seem like she was attracted much, but then again, she was hungover on a sunday morning, and the whole thing was low energy.

I don't know how to read this girl. I'm not in damage control, but I think I'm teetering on the edge of the friendzone. I think the next move is to bring her into my environment where I can DHV harder, and then build more comfort and kino.
