Okay, this experience occurred last weekend. I came to the club with 2 wings, my best friend and a hired gun (HB9). I open a 2-set with an HB 8.5 and her obstacle friend. The entire interaction, I am getting plenty of IOIs from both the target and obstacle and am using heavy kino on the target, which is being reciprocated. I left the 2-set twice to go back to my friends, who positioned themselves very near and I would flirt heavily and kino with our hired gun to create jealousy in the target. The encounter below occurred during the 3rd time I re-entered the target set. I had been drinking, so the exact lines I may not be able to recall, but I'm sure you'll get the picture...

the HB is an 8.5 - 9 and I've seen her before. We talked at the same club a week prior, it didn't go well at all.

Me: Re-enter 2set and am talking to obstacle while HB interjects
Me: "wow, is she always so pushy?" (to obstacle while smiling)
HB: puts up a scrawny little middle finger in my face and holds it there maybe 10 seconds while smiling (everybody in the immediate vicinity sees; maybe 15 people)
Me: I'm sitting there thinking to myself "****!, how the hell do I recover from this?"
Me: "Wow, and here I was just trying to be funny" (to obstacle and HB. I was drunk, so I think I probably had a smile that was hiding shock and fear)
HB: Smiling and laughing with her friend
Me: I look away and turn my body over to my friends nearby (about 90 degrees away from target). Without another word, I begin walking away. HB grabs my shoulder, turns me around, and apologizes. I shrug, smile, then IOD HB while re initiating the chat with the obstacle while still kinoing the target who has her arm around my waist.
HB: after a minute or two, says to me and obstacle "You two are so cute together, you make a cute couple," smiles and walks off to the bathroom
Me: Now feeling an awkward tension because I don't want the obstacle and the obstacle definitely wanted me. "Wierd friend of yours" i said to the obstacle. Resumed convo alone with obstacle for 30 seconds then told her I had to meet my friends.

WTF men?
How would you deal with the finger thing?
How would you deal with the target telling you that you and the obstacle make a cute couple?
WTF should I have done to turn around the situation?

Well, you did good job man! You have shown your non-neediness by walking away after the finger thing, I would say sth like "Wow, and she even can't take a joke" and then leave but maybe your solution was better - after all you were still in.

But you failed in next test. This is simple and I really don't know why you haven't done that before: introduce her (the obstacle) to your friends. Bring her there, initiate a funny convo and take advantage of your wing. This is why they are here. When the target returns you can easily isolate her due to the fact that the obstacle is occupied and having fun. This is A grade.

A good plan indeed, but my two wings were an HB9 and a G8 (guy 8/10). The obstacle was in all honestly a friggen 2 or 3. I'm sorry, I know its a terrible thing to say, but bringing this girl back did not seem like a good idea- my wings have trouble welcoming anyone, guy or girl, less than a 7. Besides, I think it may have been a bad idea to open the target in the first place since the obstacle could not be pawned off on my wings or other friends.
