HB 8 or 9. Not entirely in chronological order but I tried to be.

I was asking people randomly around the field if they wanted to play ultimate frisbee because the teams said they were even and I needed a partner to join. One of the girls who said "no" was a hottie laying on the grass. I continued talking to her and approached her saying things like "come on don't be lazy" and then she mentioned some assignment and the conversation branched into other things like her classes etc.

We talked about random stuff. She introduced herself to me (is this an IOI? I know asking for my name is an IOI but what about introduction) as "Viv" which honestly could be a fake name (more on that later).

She tells me about an essay about white people that she has to write, which is funny.

I somewhat neg her Australian accent and find out she can switch easily between Aussie and American accent. I neg her about being pale and having risk of sunburn laying down in the sun and she laughs.

She smiles a lot.

She sometimes lowered her voice and I could barely hear her so I leaned in closer beacuse I read that girls want you to lean closer when they do that, and she did not withdraw.

I would idly pull up some grass and touch it to her skin during conversation. She was neutral to it, as in, didn't react at all.

Then she mentioned she was waiting for someone and he/she hadn't showed up yet.

She gives me the nickname "Frisbee Boy."

A while later she playfully suggested that I continue to look for frisbee partners (as if wanting me to leave her alone).

Parkour came up into the conversation. She didn't know what it was so i explained it to her and told her she should join the parkour club. She brought up the fact that she dances. She said it was "lilypop" or "lilyhop" or some random obscure thing.

She brought up the fact that she's going to party that night in Burlingame. At this point I consider suggesting that I go with her but then I don't because I feel it might seem needy or something.

A second time she brings up that I should go continue my quest to look for a frisbee partner.

Finally she leaves to go do her "assignment." I say "you should show me what lilyhop dancing is sometime." She says, "No, you should teach me parkour." I say "that too." As she gets up I say "Can I have your number?" She says she already has too many contacts on her phone and she's going home in 1.5 months so no. She also says I should just try to find her again in the general grassy area. But then she says oh well, I'll give it to you but I don't know if it will be much good. So she gives me her number I say thanks and we part.

I brag to my friends about how I number closed a hot Australian girl.

2 days later I call the number and a Mexican dude answers. fml

As you can see the indicators of interest and indicators of disinterest are kind of all over the place. What do you make of this? Thanks for input.

Stop looking for IOI's. take the fact that shes staying there and talking to you the biggest IOI you could ever get and nothing else matters.

Try again, I would ask any girl you have a convo with for her number and its helps for practice.You never know where it could go, dont worry bout this one.

Dont neg chicks, when youre starting out and you neg 99% of the time comes off as an insult... say something playful like "Im loving the aussie accent its cute, ive totally got a crush on you now" *hug* laugh...

Last tip, dont say "can i have your number" its like your asking for a favour. Instead say ' put your number in my phone"
