hello all...OK...so I've finally realized that picking women up is a SKILL, something that takes PRACTICE. so, I decided to practice. here's a story of what happened last night..constructive criticism, comments, and of course applause are all welcome
so I went to the bar last night with one goal in mind--I was going to try something different. In the past I've mostly been very direct about getting a girl's number. (something along the lines of "I don't normally do this in a store, but would you like to go out some time?") and it's had its successes...
but last night I decided that if I did *anything* else--tell jokes, use a PUA technique, that it would be a success. so I went to the club, and found a group of 3 college girls sitting at a table. In the past, I've never approached several women at once, but I put my ego aside and said 'what the hell' and went for it. I started with an opinion opener...two of the girls seemed to tune me out, and the hottest one started talking to me. in the past, I would have let the two girls tuning me out get me down, but not this time. I kept talking. eventually I had all 3 taking part in the convo and even laughing. I had a couple of small trip-ups, but it was just because she hit me with stuff I wasn't expecting. next time I'll be more prepared. anyways, I number-closed on the hot one, and moved on.
so I went into a different room and saw two blond hotties standing by the wall talking. I came up and pulled the same routine again...it worked...they ran with it. they thought it was funny...I didn't give them the "so come here often? what's your name/job?" crap I gave them so many times before. and I got IOI's and suggestive eye contact. I fumbled a little bit, once again, because she said something I wasn't expecting, but I still number-closed and next time will be better.
anyways, just thought I'd share... at first I thought PUA was about manipulating women, but it's about how to COMMUNICATE with them, how to connect with them, and how to sell yourself, because to some degree or other marketing skills are needed to convince a woman to have sex with or start a relationship with you.
