so i'm a musician (drums) and was playing at a wedding yesterday. after the show 2 girls came to talk to me, we shall call them T and L. L was saying that i look familiar and T asked if i'd like to join them at the after party. i said that we must clear this area of instruments and then i'll join you. i number closed L by saying "do you have a phone on you? give it to me." and then use her cellphone to call yours. works like a charm btw.

so i caught up with the girls a while later. i met T first, we started to joke around. can't remember what we said. then she asked me to dance. we got on to the dance floor, i said: "normally i'd wipe the floor with you but today i'm outta shape due to a broken rib, so be easy on me" - All the time we were dancing and she was totally into me. I should've kino'd her much faster, but that's one of my sticking points. all the time i was looking her straight in the arm and sometimes i grabbed her real close and hold her for a short while and then push her gently away. she was testing me like hell. she danced with other guys, i just kept dancing and laughed at her. i think that worked pretty well. then i tried to go for a little kiss, but she started uttering that she is taken. this is where i kinda froze. all i could think up was "sure you are, but that's ok. it just means that you're paying"
i carried on with that joke a bit too far, i'll come to that in a sec.

so i tell her that it's time to get drinks. all the while she was talking to me in a way that she pressed her cheek to mine really close, should've moved here to some quieter location and go for the kiss... :\ but yea i started to joke around about the drink issue. then she said "well if i'm going to buy you a drink what are you gonna do for me?" Can't remember exactly what i replied but failed here. I think i said something like "well actually i'm taken as well, i have seven gf's! if you buy me a nice drink i can make you number 4, and you know what that means" we joked around a bit after that and then she just said something like "ahh, get your own drink" and left. we met up afterwards, she was still grabbing me and she got me a drink too. but she was leaving so nothing else there.

This is where i need your advice. what went wrong?

so after that all i caught up with L. i told her that she was a really good singer (she performed at the wedding). then we started talking, talked for an hour or so. about music mostly and i said to her that there's a band i know that's missing a singer, told her who to contact etc. then she said that she's gotta go home. i said im also going to leave.

outside the club i said to L that: "ok you know what to do. contact the band let me hear what happens. we have each other's numbers so if there's a gig you need a drummer for or anything gimme a call. and who knows maybe we'll bump into each other some day."

What i was saying that maybe she'll be performing live and i'm there too. but what she understood i was saying was let's go out on a date and her reply was: "that would be nice "

i'm gonna ask her to come with me to a gig on tuesday. always loved artistic girls, i'll let you know how things proceed. and you tell me your opinions and comments!
