| I went out last night to a show in NYC, and there is something about hipster girls... i don't think they take anyone but themselves seriously, and really do believe themselves to be the center of the universe... but i might be wrong.
so i got to the venue, and mingled... the hipster girls are a harder group to open. i'm no mPUA, but i've opened strippers easier than hipster girls...
i tried opening several sets, but seemed to get no response in groups, but had decent reaction from solos...
i know the principles, so I don't rely on canned material...
anyhow... i feel that since the hipster community (at least in NYC area) is very cognizant of how cool they are, how cool they are perceived to be, etc... it is a world of see and be seen, and, i feel that because of that, they are less receptive. i had plenty of social proof (i knew the headlining band, and many of the bartenders and staff at the venue) but since i wasn't wearing clothes that looked like I had just returned from a day of dumpster diving, my peacocking might have disqualified me in this environment...
also, i think that hipsters have one agenda when out, and that is drink. in retrospect, these girls are not what i really want, unemployed blog-o-sphere queens and PR divas, but it seems odd that they are so immune to game...
thoughts? opinions?
