Hey guys, im new to the community and this is my first post. I tried my first attempt at pickup last night and got a number close. Please critique me so i can improve on mistakes made.

I was at a party, and i noticed an HB 8.

ME: excuse me, are you scottish by any chance? (I live in scotland by the way)
HER: well, yeah
ME: omg, me too, we have soo much in common, i think we are meant to be.
HER: ahaha, okay, whatever you say
ME: yeah your cute, have you got a boyfriend?
HER:thanks and No, you?
ME: no,i dont have a boyfreind, but i do have 8 girlfriends.
HER: aha, yeah, right, 8?
ME: i do, and i was wondering, you know, im looking for an 9th, if you think your upto the job.
HER: ahaha, yeah, im not being option 9 though

I then did the ESP trick, both 3 and 7 worked

she was amazed LOL
HER: howd u do that etc

ME: i need to go back to my pals now, but you can give me your number, and if your lucky i might give you a wee call.
HER: yeah bla bla,
i got the number

Not bad for a first attempt i think, but naturally i have confidence so i wasnt too concerned about approaching her. Please tell me where im going wrong though
