So after 3 outings trying to learn the PUA method, I've come to my first n-close. It went well but I'm not sure how confident I am in my success (i feel uncertain of her interest).

A1: I see this HB 9 in the elevator and we exchange looks and smiles. Getting off elevator and walking out I approach.

KIO: All we have to do is find a way to waste a whole hour till next class (class got out early).

HB 9: Yeah I know!

KIO: Thats one thing I hate about first days, I mean its nice getting out early but its not like I can go hang out anywhere I live to far for that.

HB 9: Oh yeah, where you from?

* I pretend to pull away from convorsation like I have no interest in her.

KIO: ignored what she said* You know I have to ask are you a religious person. (she was wearing a roseary that hung in her cleavage.)
I'm trying not to say anything that might offend your virgin ears.

HB 9: Oh no no no... i just wear it cause I think its stylish.

KIO: ok, the reason i ask is because I just recenly went to a school Intervarsity thing that I came to learn was really religous and me and them didn't mix well. They weren't the type of people that liked my type of fun.

HB 9: No I'm definatly a fun girl and like to party.

KIO: You know what I'm starving!!

HB9: Well you wanna get a bite to eat?

KIO: Sure. (I think I should have negged her and said "hey im not that easy" or something like that)

We go to Duncan Donuts.

I got into a routine I made up on the spot about how you can tell alot about a person from the type of donut they eat.

HB 9: giggling** What does the donut you eat say about you?

KIO: Well I eat the cherry filled, that means I'm sweet, smooth on the outside but when you get to know me I'm just a wild ride.

HB 9: laughing oh yeah

KIO: Oh yeah cant you tell.... whats your donut of choice

HB 9: Chocalate i guess

KIO: ohhhhhh............

Hb9: what???

KIO: you dont wanna know, but you know what I don't think this is gonna work out

hb9: laughs

**** then general convo

KIO: you know i would really like to hang out with you outside of class, maybe i could call you

HB 9: sure

BAAAMMM!!! NUMBER CLOSE... Hopefully i get a nice follow up.

Good improv, good bounce to another locale, you're a natural. Sounds like you will see her in class soon. When in a situation where you won't, you might want to try some trick to bolster your number close, like an immediate CF text or a call to her when she is right in front of her and say something like "I just met a girl, she seems fun, but maybe she's too weird, what do you think?" This is someone else's move, but I've used it a couple times to get some momentum when I know I'll have to play phone game. Good luck with the 9!
