Thought I'd gotten past it but my AA came back in torrents today. Saw a HB9 sitting alone in a room studying on campus today. Instantly felt that damn AA well up and I choke, start talking in my head, finding reasons to not approach. I tried to overcome it by going in the room and occupying myself while I try to clear my head.
While I'm fighting with myself a natural walks in and sits to study. He opens her by saying:

Natural: Hey I'm gonna ask you something but you've gotta promise not to tell anyone I asked k?
HB9: Ok
Natural: *Pauses and takes a breath* Who won the game yesterday?

He was talking about the world cup soccer match. It's pretty big in our country so he was building suspense and using something that she would definitely know. Well he got her laughing and talked a bit more. I sorta jumped in the conversation middway but I couldn't close. I messed up but I'll get past it. Got past AA once before so I bet I can do it again.
