Well I just moved to a new town, and figured that I might as well try and improve my skills with women, so i have been checking out alot of PUA sites and testing out some of the things I learned from them. For the record, I'm 17, never kissed a girl, been depressed on and off for my whole life(although this year I have gotten ALOT better) so bare with me on any incredibly stupid moves I did.

Yesterday I did my first approach on a complete stranger. I saw this incredibly hot girl sitting alone reading, so I walked by just past her, and then kind of pretended to have spontaneusly just noticed her out of the corner of my eye, and turned and the conversation went along the lines of:

Me: Hey do you mind if I sit down?
Girl: No go ahead
Me: ya know i have to be honest i am going through cultural shock right now
Girl: Why's that?
Me: I just moved here from a town of 500 people, with like 12 streets and I can honestly say the city is FUCKED.
Girl: Oh realy?
Me: Yeah I miss waking up and looking out my window to see fields and ponds, now I wake up and see..houses.
Girl:laughs
Me: ya street lights are messed too, good ol stop signs were the shit.
Girl: so what are you taking in summer school?
Me: I'm taking Math B 30 so I can take calculus next year, I would have taken it this year but my school back home had so few people that you realy had no choice in what classes you were taking.
Girl: Well that sucks
Me So what are you taking in summer school?
Girl: I'm taking English
Me: lol my dad was an English teahcer until about..oh 2 weeks ago.
Girl: Yeah?
Me: yeah it wasn't that bad my friends actually liked my dad as a teacher for some reason(Didn't feel like telling her it's because my dad was a hippy back in the day, and still acted like one)
Girl:well that's good

Throughout the conversation up until this point I was getting Ioi's like her smiling whenever I say something and playing with her hair, but I kinda didn't know what to say anymore so I just decided it was better to just shut up and pretend to work on my math to see if she would try to re-establish the conversation. Instead she started reading her english. After about 5 minutes I had to leave for class

Me: well peace out I gotsta go to class
Girl: smiles* Bye



Now I didn't think that went horrible wrong for my first approach ever, however today I feel that I screwed it horribly.

I Noticed her and a friend sitting down but I didn't obey they same approach as soon as you see rule as I did last time, and after getting up to go there I kind of just...walked by and pretending I didn't see her. Then about a minute later I went to go approach her. That Double Take I think was a major screw up.

Instead of walking by and *spontaneusly* going over there i walked right to them. I sat next to her friend and tried to befriend her.

Me: Hey you. I've seen you before (turn to friend), but I never met you.
Friend: Hey
Me: Well I'm thinking I'm starting to get used to the city, so do you want to play knuckles? (Never occured to me that people wouldnt know what knuckles is, so I didn't expext this to happen next)
Friend: Uh no thanks sounds like that would hurt.
Me: Well if you're wearing rings, it would hurt me more than you.
Her friend shows me her fingers to show me there are no rings.

At this point I realy Didn't know what to do or say, so I just left the set. Cringe-worthy, I know.

My personal opinion is that the first conversation Didn't go too bad, but I completely blew it on the second approach.

Any constructive criticism?

You should have had a backup in mind before asking her to play knuckles. She showed you she had no rings, so you could have made a comment on her small hands, etc, and just ignore the knuckles thing. Don't know what made you try that in the first place, but that's just me.
