Three friends and I went to the beach yesterday. My two guy friends (one was a girl) and I decided to game some girls while we were there. I couldn't work up the guts to approach for most of the sets, but I did once.

We were playing football in the water next to a group of 5 girls. They were also throwing a football around. After eying them for about 5 minutes I finally worked up the guts to approach. This is what I opened with:

"Try playing with me right here,"

As I stepped in the middle of the group and kept throwing to my friends behind them. They kind of laughed at it, and kept playing. My two buddies then came over a bit closer. After a couple minutes we were all playing one game. This went on for about 5 minutes, during which not too much talking went on between me and the girls, mainly just me yelling at my friends, and the girls yelling at each other. I stole the ball from them a couple times playfully.

I went back to my group for a sec, then realized I hadn't asked them for their names. I walked back to the group and said this:

Me: "Hey guys, my friend Cliff (I intentionally gave them a fake name as a joke) wanted to know your names but he was too nervous to ask."

Them: "Cliff? I thought his name was Paul, we heard you calling him Paul."

Us: "Oh yeah, well, Cliff is his nickname... blah blah blah"

Them: *laugh*

Me: So what are your names?

Them: *names*

Me: Cool. blah blah blah...

I didn't give them my name, but went on to talk about some dude who was walking around in the water looking for gold (?) and we joked about that, they laughed. After about 5 more minutes, they said they were going back to the shore, and they left. Then we went back to the shore a couple minutes later.

So how'd I do? I hope I made you guys proud hahaha.
Criticize the shit out of this and don't hold back, that's the only way I'll learn.

well you should be proud that you at least approached, cos i myself have had times when my nervousness has got the better of me and didn't approach at all, so well done on that. You should now start trying to close, start with number close.

This i think is really bad... it show them you dindt have the balls to ask them there names directly, and girls pick up on that.
Plus your DLV your buddy by saying hes to scared to ask them is not a good idea.
THey will think hes slow value and your hanging around with low value guys.

I would have been way better if you said something like:
YOU: Hey girls, you forgot to tell me your names
HB's: Names
YOU: OH cool im ..... , nice to meet you wonna play with us? (something like that)

Good advice, that makes sense. I was kind of in the moment and couldn't think of how to ask them, but next time I'll do a more direct way and not lower my friend's value.
