I'm still new to this game.

Right now, I live in Seoul, Korea but I went to Daegu (4 hours south of Seoul) to visit two of my friends because they wanted to go clubbing. I had never been clubbing before so I was hyped.

We went to a club called G2. When we got there, we scoped out the club. I noticed that the boys and girls were very divided. I guess it's because of the culture. After scoping out the club, we sat down at a table and my friend noticed that there was a couple of cute Korean girls sitting behind me about 5 meters away. He told me to go talk to them, but honestly, I didn't know what to say and just walking up to them seemed awkward. They were smoking, so he told me to go ask them for a cigarette and he would do the rest. So, I asked them for a cigarette and lighter. They gave it to me but that was the end of the conversation... my friend didn't do anything...

After that my friend noticed a fat American girl and a Short Korean HB8 in front of the bar. He told me to come with him to talk to them because I speak Korean. He opened with:

Friend A: Can I buy you a drink?
Short Korean HB8: Uhhh... I guess but can I order the most expensive drink.
Friend A: Sure, doesn't matter....blah blah blah

I knew this wasn't good because he completely shut out the fat American girl from the conversation and opened with 'Can I buy you a drink'

You have to know that my two friends know nothing about 'the Game'
Friend A wanted to go to the club to meet a girl and bang.
Friend B wasn't very interested with the girls in the club because he has a girlfriend.

Anyways, I was just standing there, doing nothing. So, I leaned against the bar and started a conversation with the fat American girl. Asked each other why we came to Korea and other shit. Finally, Friend A introduced me to Short Korean HB8. We talked and she told me how badly she wanted to leave Korea and improve her English. I told her that I wanted to leave Korea too and jokingly said let's travel around the world together. She laughed and agreed. She asked us if we wanted to meet her other friends.

She took us to her table with all her friends.
So it was me, Friend A, Friend B, fat American girl, and five Korean HBs ranging from 7~9.

I sat between the fat American girl and 28 year old HB9. We introduced ourselves and all of them spoke English except for Yoga HB8. Friend A and B were on the other side of the table speaking with Short Korean HB8. Friend A was bragging about how he was on the national Taekwondo team in America.

Basically, I was talking with all the other girls. I was nervous and for some reason I said "This is my first time at a club." They all laughed and said "yeah right"
Suddenly, I was joking with all of them about it and even had them trying to take my ID card. The SPAM became a lot lighter. I told them fun stories about when I lived in America and Africa.

The 28 year old HB8 asked me a question, but I pretended not to hear and started talking to the fat American girl. She tried really hard to catch my attention. I told her in Korean that it is rude to interrupt a conversation. Her and all the other Korean girls were surprised that I spoke Korean. Until then, I only spoke in English with them.

Suddenly all five Korean HB and fat American girl got up and said they needed to use the bathroom. So, I just joined my friends' and Short Korean HB8 conversation. Then someone tapped me on the back. It was Yoga HB8. She asked me if I wanted to dance. I said yeah and went down to the dance stage with her, 28 year old HB9 and fat American girl.

I danced and later my friends came to joined us. We were all dancing with each other. But I noticed that nobody was dancing with fat American girl. So, I decided to dance with her. I didn't want to but I did haha.

I started dancing with Yoga HB8 again. It was really hot in the club. So, I offered to buy her a drink. I grabbed her arm and guided her through the crowd to the bar. I bought her a drink and we talked for a little. After we returned to our friends to dance.

While we were dancing she grabbed my hand. I saw this as an IOI and I lightly kissed her neck. She giggled and said stop, but her face expressed that she liked it. So, I stopped for about 10 seconds and did it again, but this time longer. She said stop once again, but after about 10 seconds more I did it again. After that she never said no when I kissed her. We made out for a little.

Friend B came up to me and said that the two Smoking HBs from before were looking our way. I saw them, but I didn't approach them. I think me and my friends were having the most in the club and they saw that. Like I said before the club was really divided. A group of girls with foreign guys dancing attracts attention. Especially in Korea haha.

Anyways I continued to dance with Yoga HB8 and 28 year old HB9.

Friend A came up to me and was pissed.
He told me that he was tired and wanted to go home.

I asked Friend B what was up with Friend A.

(This is what happened)
Friend A: Hey, do you want to leave with me?
Short Korean HB8: Yeah but first can you buy me another drink.
Friend A: Sure...

While he went to buy her a drink, she left..
So he was PISSED.
It was 2 in the morning.


He told me to ask Yoga HB8, 28 year old HB9 and fat America girl if they wanted to go to a bar. In Korea, I heard that if you meet a girl at a club and ask her if she wants to go to bar and she accepts, that means 100% your going to bang that night. Yoga and 28 year old HB were willing to go, but Fat American girl didn't want to go. She was a complete cockblock.

My friend was getting frustrated and I wasn't looking to bang any that night.
I just came out to dance and have fun.
So I thanked Yoga girl for the night and left.

I didn't ask for her number and I don't even remember her name.
My friends keep telling me that I could have banged both the Yoga and 28 year old HB, but I don't know...

I feel like the only reason why I got to know them that night was because:
1. My friend opened the set. I have a problem opening. I get AA.
2. I'm pretty good looking.
3. I speak English and Korean.

Honestly, Friend B (the one that was quiet most the night) if he wanted he could have had all the girls in the club. The only reason why he didn't was because of his girlfriend.

Here are my questions:
How do I get rid of future cockblock girls like the Fat American Girl in those situations?

Did I come off to strong when I just suddenly asked the girls if they wanted to go to a bar?

Should I have approached the Smoking Korean HBs when I saw them on the dance floor? and if I did what should I have said or done?

If anyone has any other advice or comments feel free.
I really want to learn my mistakes and how to open sets.
After opening a set I'm all good but AA gets me every time.

To answer your questions:

You were on the right track with her. The only way to deal with obstacles is to befriend them. It's definitely easier said then done, but the point is to disarm them and make them comfortable with you. You did a good job of that, but because she was the odd one out in the group, it would have been awkward for her. Had you chosen to just isolate HBYoga or HB28yearold, the other would have been able to stay with the obstacle.

No. You came off as confident. That is exactly what you are supposed to do.

I don't think this is a matter of SHOULD you have rather then COULD you have. Being the most interesting group in the club combined with hanging out with other girls gave you social proof and peaked their interest. You could have gone and re-opened the set, but you didn't have to. If you are having fun in your current set, and its progressing, why eject?
